In Brief;
Colt Industrial Services Ltd have worked in the asbestos removal
industry for the past 25 years.
Over this period Colt have successfully managed and maintained
an immaculate license held with the Health Safety Executive.
Over this period Colt have never incurred any prohibitions or
improvement notices from the HSE due to the impeccable
standards Colt work too.
This exceptional reputation is due to the excellent standards
achievable being driven through the entire work force from
Director level down to the operatives leading the way on site.

Low Staff Turnaround / Experiences
Colt have a regular team of staff that carry out their asbestos
abatement operations with some of our work force being
employed with the company for more than 40 years.
With our staff being under long term employment we have also
gained a team that is extremely familiar and trained in working on
the Rail Infrastructure.
Colt refuse to work with agencies to employee staff beyond their
own in house capabilities as this has the possibility to tarnish the
high standards Colt expect.
Colt have carried out many successful projects for Network Rail
from working in relay rooms amongst very sensitive equipment to
working in very busy stations.
Dedicated Management
From initial quotation to project completion, Network Rail will
deal with a dedicated member of the management team who are
extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise.
Management in the asbestos department have more than 50
years of combined experience. All managers are constantly
attending training courses to aid in the continual improvement of
their knowledge in the industry. Courses include the ARCA
management qualification and the Level 4 Certificate in Asbestos
Removal for Contract Managers (RSPH Awarding Body) as a
minimum amongst many other relevant qualifications.
In House Training
Its Colt’s philosophy that there is always room for improvement,
no stone is left unturned when it comes to safety and training.
One of our key tools is our in house training facility. This is an
integral part of the continual improvement in to the way Colt
operate. The training facility gives Colt management first-hand
experience of identifying any weaknesses with the staff from
knowledge of regulation to physical application.

3. We also operate a training needs analysis programme which is a
scheme where all the staff are permanently assessing each other
confidentially so that high standards are maintained.
As part of the training needs analysis we also hold quarterly
supervisor meetings where Directors and Management sit around
the table with the field supervisors for a two way discussion of the
whole operation.

Colt operates an integrated Business Management System to ISO
9001:2008, 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001 accredited by IMS
International. Our integrated Management System quality runs
solidly through the organisation ensuring that throughout all stages
of a project from planning, execution and hand back, our systems
and procedures will be supporting the operation as it progresses.
These processes are independently checked annually via the ISO
audit regime and also against the LinkUp audit (RISQS)
