This issue celebrates innovations. Dr. Padma’s Telestroke paper
shows how a simple Whatsapp network links doctors and
radiologists to create a STROKE network and provide fast stroke
care all over a state in India. The HRIDAY CARD is another
such innovation. A unique combination of patient education,
doctor checklists for heart failure and patient sickness response
systems and monitoring charts combined in a single card and
already being used in many hospitals in Delhi. HOME-N is
a very simple but effective nurse lead heart failure program
designed to use all available resources, including the HRIDAY
card, smartphone-based apps, and simple telephone calls to
improve the outcomes of acute heart failure.
In our curriculum section, we take up a case of acute heart failure
and discuss the management from myocarditis to assist device
implantation. The statistical section discusses the intricacies of
the Bland–Altman plot and the history section takes us back to
the glamour of the discovery of the various stents.
Our readers have sent us a book review of a very interesting
book “SAPIENS,” which seems to overturn many of our beliefs
and is a must read. Dr. Sarvesh presents his experience with
the AIIMS experience with Heart Ware HVAD devices which
should be useful to anyone implanting similar devices.
Entering our 3rd year of publication, we are gradually
increasing our readership and circulation. Our mandate is
education. We invite everyone to send articles on themes
which provide learning experiences to others. Original articles
and cases, journal clubs and bedside cases, and simple journal
clubs, etc., are welcome. Encourage your students to write and
send their articles and thesis work. If the content and ideas
are good, we will help them with the language and structure
if needed.

All this need to be demolished by having few key elements as part of their business plan called Business Continuity Planning (BCP). We will discuss more about the elements in BCP.
Firstly, create a planning team - depends on the size of the team that includes all the required employees. Next one is perform a analysis on the business products - its key that the we always need to analyze if we need to alter any improvements and also, to calculate the impact for loss, interruption or discretion. Migitate risks and effective testing - testing always helps to find any security flaws and we can migitate the cyber risks.
Crisis communications and employee safety - these are very important because if a company hit by any cyber threat, communication should be fast and everyone must be updated and must be on the same page. At this moment, employee safety also comes into the picture as companies need to train them properly during these disasters operations.
Establishment of the business continuity strategies and access to the business resources - Companies must create certain strategies based on the business impact analysis results, their goals, objectives, maintenance of supplier relationships and with policies and standards. Finally, IT operations at off-site locations, companies which are beware of these ransomware attacks, having storing their data as a backup in the offsite centers. This makes a better plan rather than thinking about the lost data and how to recover it - which cannot be done during the current times.

plans to protect the privacy, security, and integrity of the data and
information it collects, which results in preserving confidentiality.
The chapter concludes with a standard on maintaining accurate
health information.
Requirements in this chapter apply to all types of information
managed by the organization, unless the requirement specifically

This SOW (Statement of Work) is being done on behalf of the senior information officer. He has requested for the creation of an agency-wide security awareness program by handing over the security gap analysis which was done prior to this process. Hence the major aim of this document is to set a security awareness program which shows ten major key security findings. The document will also include a risk assessment of the current security awareness practices, processes and practices. By having this document, the organization will be able to have a well-organized maintenance plan. It is also important in maintaining and establishing an information-security awareness program (United States, 2000).
Background
The mission of the organization is to provide efficient IT services with the best security program in place with an aim of protecting organizations assets.
1. Technical infrastructure
The organization is engaged in short-term effort aiming at modernizing its information-processing infrastructure. These efforts have incorporated software enhancements, installation of firewalls and high end network systems for an improved communication. The senior information officer is the one who is responsible top oversee modernization effort. This issue celebrates innovations. Dr. Padma’s Telestroke paper
shows how a simple Whatsapp network links doctors and
radiologists to create a STROKE network and provide fast stroke
care all over a state in India. The HRIDAY CARD is another
such innovation. A unique combination of patient education,
doctor checklists for heart failure and patient sickness response
systems and monitoring charts combined in a single card and
already being used in many hospitals in Delhi. HOME-N is
a very simple but effective nurse lead heart failure program
designed to use all available resources, including the HRIDAY
card, smartphone-based apps, and simple telephone calls to
improve the outcomes of acute heart failure.
In our curriculum section, we take up a case of acute heart failure
and discuss the management from myocarditis to assist device
implantation. The statistical section discusses the intricacies of
the Bland–Altman plot and the history section takes us back to
the glamour of the discovery of the various stents.
Our readers have sent us a book review of a very interesting
book “SAPIENS,” which seems to overturn many of our beliefs
and is a must read. Dr. Sarvesh presents his experience with
the AIIMS experience with Heart Ware HVAD devices which
should be useful to anyone implanting similar devices.
Entering our 3rd year of publication, we are gradually
increasing our readership and circulation. Our mandate is
education. We invite everyone to send articles on themes
which provide learning experiences to others. Original articles
and cases, journal clubs and bedside cases, and simple journal
clubs, etc., are welcome. Encourage your students to write and
send their articles and thesis work. If the content and ideas

The plan ensures that personnel and assets are protected and are able to function quickly in the event of a disaster due to natural causes or human-made mistakes. ACS Code of Professional Conduct. Section 1.2 describes the Code of Professional Conduct,

complexity of the problem, wants the job completed within the next few days. Not knowing
how to solve the problems, Jean remembers that a co-worker had given her source listings
from his current work and from an early version of a commercial software package developed
at another company. On studying these programs, she sees two areas of code which could be
directly incorporated into her own program. She uses segments of code from both her co-

Overview:
Every episode of care generates health information that must be
managed systematically by the organization. All data and
information used by the organization are categorized, filed, and
maintained. The system should accurately capture health
information generated by the delivery of care, treatment, or
services. Health information should be accessed by authorized users
who will use health information to provide safe, quality care.
Unauthorized access can be limited by the adoption of policies that
address the privacy, security, and integrity of health information.
Depending on the type of organization, the system used for
information management may be basic or sophisticated. As
technology develops, many organizations find their information
management systems in a state of transition from paper to fully
electronic or a combination of the two. Regardless of the type of
system used, these standards are designed to be equally compatible
with noncomputerized systems and evolving technologies.
About This Chapter:
As with other chapters, planning is the initial focus of “Information
Management” (IM). A well planned system meets the internal and
external information needs of the organization with efficiency and
accuracy. Planning also provides for continuity in the event that the
organization’s operations are disrupted or fail. The organization also
plans to protect the privacy, security, and integrity of the data and
information it collects, which results in preserving confidentiality.
The chapter concludes with a standard on maintaining accurate
health information.
Requirements in this chapter apply to all types of information
managed by the organization, unless the requirement specifically
limits the type of information to health information. Refer to the
Glossary for a definition of health information.

Introduction
For the organization to comply with the current PCT DSS requirement version 12,6, a security awareness program must be in place. The CISCO of the organization has an immediate requirement of creating an agency-wide security awareness program. As a means of implementing security awareness program the organization has conducted a security gap analysis which is one of the component of security awareness program which showed the 10 security findings. As one of the means of conducting the program, I will submit awareness program proposal.
Objective
This SOW (Statement of Work) is being done on behalf of the senior information officer. He has requested for the creation of an agency-wide security awareness program by handing over the security gap analysis which was done prior to this process. Hence the major aim of this document is to set a security awareness program which shows ten major key security findings. The document will also include a risk assessment of the current security awareness practices, processes and practices. By having this document, the organization will be able to have a well-organized maintenance plan. It is also important in maintaining and establishing an information-security awareness program (United States, 2000).
Background
The mission of the organization is to provide efficient IT services with the best security program in place with an aim of protecting organizations assets.
1. Technical infrastructure
The organization is engaged in short-term effort aiming at modernizing its information-processing infrastructure. These efforts have incorporated software enhancements, installation of firewalls and high end network systems for an improved communication. The senior information officer is the one who is responsible top oversee modernization effort. He has of late completed conducting a security awareness program and deployment of the organization’s LAN (Local area Network). The hardware being used is of CISCO products.
2. Computing Environment
The organization’s desktop computers are of Windows 2007/ 98 and 95. The servers are of Pentium with over 1 GB RAM. The current NOS (Network operating system) are window based.
3. Security Posture of the Organization
The organization has a basic network structure with only one router which acts as a firewall. It has several working stations and switches to this working stations. In addition the organization has installed Kasperky’s antivirus in of their desktop machines with a motive of reducing external threats. The data server is highly secured with Kaspersky’s antivirus. The Business Continuity Plan should cover all essential and critical business activities.
The Business Continuity Plan should be periodically tested in a simulated environment to ensure that it can be implemented in emergency situations and that the management and staff understand how it is to be executed.
All staff must be made aware of the Business Continuity Plan and their own respective roles.
The Business Continuity Plan is to be kept up to date to take into account changing circumstances.

Background
Liquids contain molecules that have different kinetic energies (due to different velocities). Some of the
faster liquid molecules have enough kinetic energy to vaporize. At the same time, some of the slower
vapor molecules condense into liquid. In an open container, the rate of vaporization will be greater than
the rate of condensation—hence, the liquid will eventually evaporate. In a sealed flask, however, there
will be a point in which equilibrium is reached between the rate of vaporization and the rate of
condensation. To the eye, it seems that the liquid doesn’t change at equilibrium. But at the microscopic
level a vapor molecule enters the liquid phase for every liquid molecule that enters the gas phase.
The total pressure in the sealed flask is due to the vaporized liquid plus air molecules present in the flask:

In this experiment, you will investigate the relationship between
the vapor pressure of a liquid and its temperature. Pressure and
temperature data will be collected using a gas pressure sensor and
a temperature probe (Figure 1). Vapor pressures will be
determined by subtracting atmospheric pressure from the total
pressure.
The flask will be placed in water baths of different temperatures to
determine the effect of temperature on vapor pressure. You will
measure the vapor pressure of methanol and ethanol and
determine the enthalpy (heat) of vaporization for each liquid.
Objectives
In this experiment, you will
Investigate the relationship between the vapor pressure of a liquid and its temperature.
Compare the vapor pressure of two different liquids at the same temperature.
Use pressure‐temperature data and the Clausius‐Clapeyron equation to determine the heat of
vaporization for each liquid.
Caution!
The alcohols used in this experiment are flammable and poisonous. Avoid inhaling their vapors. Avoid
contacting them with your skin or clothing. Be sure there are no open flames in the lab during this
experiment. Notify your teacher immediately if an accident occurs.
Procedure
1. Wear goggles! You will work in pairs for this lab, but you may share water baths with your table.
2. Prepare four water baths: 20 to 25°C (use room temperature water), 30 to 35°C, 40 to 45°C, and 50 to
55°C. You should also have some hot water on a hot plate on reserve.
3. Obtain a temperature probe and gas pressure sensor. The sensor comes with a
rubber‐stopper assembly (Figure 2). The stopper has three holes, one of which
is closed. Make sure your tubing and valve are not inserted in the closed hole.
Insert the rubber‐stopper assembly into a 125 mL Erlenmeyer flask.
Important: Twist the stopper into the neck of the flask to ensure a tight
fit.

Negligence
Negligence is a common liability associated with tort cases against security practitioners. Whether it is a failure to perform a duty, lack of training or improper level of background screening, negligence liability is one of the biggest problems facing private security.
Some of the cases and material available through online research date back over twenty years but their relevance in today’s scenarios is very much as real now as it was then.
Negligence can also lead to other torts representing serious potential financial losses. An improperly trained security officer runs a high risk of executing a false arrest or unwarranted search of an individual (Moore, 1988).
The class text and related Internet research can point towards a number of cases in which the plaintiffs have prevailed resulting in excessive fines and awards due to bad security practice.
The challenge that typically faces most security companies is that of the cost associated with the training of personnel. Many security contracts have very close profit margins right near actual cost many times. These tight margins prohibit training from a financial perspective.
However, the cost of not providing training can permanently ruin and destroy a business. Even if security companies provide state-mandated training, if required at all, many times the training is minimal and inadequate averaging 8 to 16 hours total (Button, 2007).
Meeting a state’s requirements may satisfy requirements for licensing but may not be enough to keep one out of civil tort for negligence. According to Pastor (2007), if a causal connection between a recognized harm and an insufficient level of training and supervision a negligence case may be proven.
Adequate supervision ties in with training in the respect that ensuring employees are properly prepared to carry out their duties. Recurring and remedial training are seen as components of effective training. Court cases revolving around negligent hiring practices are commonplace and numerous.
A common premise of many negligent hiring cases is:

The employer knew or should have known that the employee had a particular unfitness for the position so as to create a danger of harm to third persons;
•
The particular unfitness was known or should have been known at the time of the employee’s hiring or retention; and this particular unfitness proximately caused the plaintiff’s injury (Pastor, 2007)

Securing IoT Devices: What are the Challenges?Security practitioners suggest that key IoT security steps include:

IT Governance at University of the Southeast
University of the Southeast 25 was (and still is) one of the largest universities in the United States. It had been growing rapidly; that growth was spurred, in part, by information technology. The university embraced lecture capture technologies that allowed lectures to be streamed to students in a classroom, in dorm rooms, on the grass near the main campus central fountain, and at a variety of other places of the students’ choosing whenever they chose to watch. This made it possible to have sections of classes with over 1,000 students without having to build physical classrooms with enough seats to accommodate each person enrolled. It also made it possible to offer classes that were streamed to students at remote campuses. Each student was charged a technology fee (i.e., $5.16 for undergraduates and $13.85 for graduates per credit hour each semester), which was administered by the Information Technologies and Resources (IT&R) Office to help fund the costs of providing IT to students and faculty.IT&R was responsible for providing computer services, technologies, and telecommunications across the campus (Computer Services and Technology), helping faculty with their instructional delivery and multimedia support (Office of Instructional Resources), helping faculty develop and deliver Web‐based and lecture capture courses (Center for Distributed Learning), and the library. The IT&R Office developed IT‐related policies with very little input from the faculty and was responsible for deciding and implementing decisions concerning IT architecture and infrastructure. IT&R worked with the university president and other top administrators in making IT investment decisions. IT&R staff also worked with the various colleges, administrative offices, and an advisory board in making decisions about applications that needed to be developed. However, faculty were not consulted at all when the lecture capture system was selected. As was often the case at large universities, many decision rights on a wide range of issues had been allocated to the colleges.
The College of Business Administration had its own server and Technology Support Department (TSD). A recent survey of faculty and staff in the college indicated a high level of satisfaction with the TSD but far less satisfaction with the services provided by the university‐level IT&R. Some college respondents indicated their displeasure about IT&R’ s support of the technology for the lecture capture courses, help desk, and classroom technologies. The problems with the technology support for lecture capture software were particularly troublesome. The software would not authenticate students who had paid to enroll in some lecture capture courses, making it impossible for them to download the lectures even though they were registered in the course. Further, some university‐affiliated housing did not have adequate network bandwidth to allow students .

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic Imperative
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. Hackers are developing methods, by the minute, to access confidential information, steal personally identifiable information (PII) and use it to destroy companies' well-being and peoples' lives. Omicron Health Care Services (OHCS), is a healthcare provider service company that provides the following services: Healthcare provider options. Prescription plan services. Healthcare professionals. Scenario Due to recent natural and man-made disasters that have impacted healthcare technology and operations, the Chief Security Officer, (CSO) Robert Dumbar, has great concerns regarding the continuous operations of the Call Center Services (CCS) and the ability to restore all applications, equipment and data assets ASAP in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. At the request of the CSO, the IAS Director of OHCS, has organized an internal team to analyze the companies' current Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Plan (BC/DRP) and develop a formal BC/DRP strategy. The focus of this request is to develop a BC/DRP strategy for the following departments: Data Forensics: Responsible for investigating fraudulent insurance claims; investigating and analyzing devices on a variety of operating systems; conducting complex digital forensic investigations. Network Security: Responsible for Wireless/Wired technologies, data engineering, network security controls and testing, data communications and Back-up/recovery processes. Healthcare Services: Responsible for customer services, healthcare plans communications and ensuring personal identifiable information is protected.
- 2. Phase II: This project will challenge the team to create a BC/DRP strategy recommendation report. Review the listing of deficiencies identified in the current state analysis. Conduct research, exploring other company's BC/DRP strategies including: Analysis of the continuous 24/7 operations of Customer Support processes.( My part of project) Analysis of the back-up strategy for applications and data. (My part of project.) Thinking each piece of analysis should include these 4 parts: 1. What's the current state? 2. What's the current state lacking? 3. Recommendations to improve current state/remediate deficiencies 4. References (in APA format).
