Ideas About the
Logo
Ideas About the
Logo
• Are you familiar with the logo?
• Where do we usually find it?
• Have you already bought the product?
• What was the reason you bought the product?
The picture above is the logo of Nestle, we usually see them in some of
our common products at home, such as milk, energy drinks and etc. Nestle is an
example of a business logo.
Based on the logo above. Nestle is an example of a
business logo, it is a Swiss product that ventures around
the world. But before Nestle became a successful brand,
they first studied how they can invite their consumers to
buy the products. And the logo is one of their strategies.
So, in creating a logo, we should put together
symbols that represents a deeper meaning. Let’s look
again the logo of Nestle.
The name Nestle is adapted from the family name of the owner
Henri Nestle. What you can see in the logo is a nest with the
mother bird and two young birds. The nest means “family”. The
mother bird is feeding her baby birds represents a mother
taking care of her infant. The Nestle company was originally an
infant cereal product in which they aim to nurture the children
all around the world.
Their idea about their logo is for health and
wellness. Meaning, they already know who their
consumers are or their target market.
And now, we will be creating our own
business logo just like Nestle. Since you have your
personal logos, we will turn them into a potential
business logo. But let’s first identify which target
market or the consumers we will attract.
What is Target Market?
Target Market – is the specific group of people
you want to reach with your marketing message.
They are the people who are most likely to buy your
products or services and they are united by some
common characteristics.
These are the four of the common target
markets.
• Food and beverages – a restaurant,
coffee, juice, etc.
• Fashion and fitness – a fashion house, a
clothing company, a sports event.
• Transportation or travel – an airline, a bus
line, a hotel or resort, etc.
• Entertainment – a television station, a
dance studio, a movie company.
a. What product does it promote?
b. How does the designer present and catch the interest
of the viewers?
c. In logo number, what familiar product is it known for?
d. What do the symbols represent?
e. What message does it tells?

We will create a logo using the Paint and PowerPoint
Software or your pen and paper. You can choose one option
from the two activities below. If you have a computer/laptop

“This is Benito. Benito is a Grade Six
pupil like you. He dreams to become
a well-known owner of a coffee shop
in the city. Let’s help him create his
own logo.”
Let's make an ARTWORK.
• Since Benito likes to make a coffee shop. We will think of a symbol that will
represent the word “coffee”. A cup and a saucer are a good example of a
symbol for the word coffee.
We will be designing a logo just like the photo above by following the Simple
STEPS using your pencil, paper and coloring materials.
1. First, draw a cup and saucer on your activity notebook. You can refer the
picture below or you can create your own.
2. Draw a rectangular shape across the cup, write down the word “COFFEE
MATE” inside it.
3. Add a smoke by drawing above the cup.
4. Choose a good color that compliments your design
QUIZ Read each question carefully. Choose the letter of the correct
answer. Write your answers in your activity notebook.
Thank
you!
