Aristotle was one of the greatest Greek philosophers, studying under Plato and Socrates. He died in 322 BC at age 81 of natural causes. After his death, Aristotle left his many writings to his student Theophrastus for safekeeping. While Aristotle wrote over 200 treatises, only 31 survived. He made important early contributions to the study of psychology and attempting to understand how people think, laying the foundation for the field, even if it was limited by the technology of his time.

• After Aristotle had passed away it is said
that he left all his writings to his student
“Theophrastus” for safe keeping. It is said
that they are hidden away in a vault for
safe keeping. He wrote about 200 or more
treaties in his time on this planet. 31 of
those treaties survived. The writings of
Aristotle were lecture notes and
manuscripts not actual books sadly. Even
today Aristotle is recognized for his turn in
philosophy.

• Aristotle was one of the founding
people who started the study of
psychology. He was expected to
unravel the way people think.
Aristotle did the best he could do
with modern technology back then
but it was definitely a breakthrough
in psychology today. Psychology
today might not be as advanced right
now if it wasn’t for Aristotle.
