Using Renewable Energy Essays
With a growing population around the world, the need for more energy increases as well. We are accustomed to using fossil fuels as our central source of energy for everyday exploiting. Fossil fuels are a natural matter that is found in the ground of the Earth that is formed in a previous time period millions of years ago and are nonrenewable. Fossil fuels are burned in order to fabricate energy. When nonrenewable resources have been used, they cannot restock themselves or be used again. Renewable energy is a supply of energy that can be used as many times necessary and does not necessitate a compound made from the Earth. At the beginning of the 1900 s, hydroelectric power for electricity is introduced. Meanwhile, renewable energy is essentially forgotten until the late 1900 s because other sources of energy by using fossil fuels are booming. Renewable energy becomes a topic of interest again in the 1970 s when there is a gas shortage because of the tapering production of oil from the Middle East. Although, people begin to realize soon after this that fossil fuels can t last ceaselessly and that a new source of energy needs to be established (Hoyle).

There are no toxins and pollutants pushed into the air by burning like there are when using fossil fuels. Producing energy with clean air makes renewable energy more competent to the environment and to people for pr

Glory Movie Accuracy
The movie, Glory was an exceptional movie depicting the bloody American Civil War and the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. Many famous actors starred in the movie, while Broderick portrayed Colonel Robert Gould Shaw, Washington and Freeman portrayed African American infantrymen in the 54th Massachusetts Infantry. The movie presents many historically accurate events, however some parts are flawed and completely false. Especially throughout this report, I will constantly discuss how Robert Gould Shaw was falsely portrayed and the extent of doing so is just to prove a point how wrong the movie is about the Union colonel. Even scenes were swept completely off the movie, though they might have had an important role in the regiment s legacy....show more content...Within the first fifteen minutes of the film, Robert Gould Shaw goes to a luxurious party held for returning officers of the battle. He was then asked by Governor John A. Andrew to become the commanding officer for a newly founded regiment of black soldiers. After the request of becoming a Colonel, Douglass formally agrees to the making of the regiment as an act of honor and dignity to all African Americans. Upon the same exact day, Shaw agrees to take charge of the the regiment. Though once again, the movie wrong about the event.
Frederick Douglass actually had more involvement in the 54th Massachusetts than depicted in the movie. Also in reality, his sons were listed into the volunteer infantry. Their names were Charles and Lewis Douglass, even though they did not take any part of the movie. Frederick also gave the idea to President Lincoln for the creation of colored regiments. Comparison of Two Newspaper Articles
These two articles are about asylum seekers. Both articles agree that there are too many asylum seekers, but are presented in a very different way to each other. Article one is a shorter more aggressive tract, not intended to make the reader think about the article but just to instantly agree with it. Article two however stands back and looks at the problem, why it has arisen and suggests ways that there can be resolutions. Both papers also criticise the government for being too lenient, and for not taking any action. Both identify David Blunkett, naming the government s minister responsible for this area of policy, an important factual ingredient. She also tries to make the reader feel a bit hard done to by the government by commenting on how in Leeds the asylum seekers have got their own mobile health clinic when normal British people can t get to see a G.P for love nor money , in actual fact this is because the G.P s won t take them on because they don t speak English and that they have too many patie

The French Music
Other exiled composers, on the other hand, flourished during these years. Multiple symphonies, chamber music pieces, and other works were written during this time. Composers expressed this period of writing as a transformation, but also risky and inventive. Stravinsky, who traveled to the United States at the start of the war, saw one of the most productive and yet grounding periods of his writing career. Stravinsky found himself in a conservative environment, which in return, may have lead to his consolidated style in Petroushka and other writings of this time.
Another scene that did fairly well during the war was the state of French Music. One major change was the location. Due to war efforts in Paris, most of the French music scene, including the French Orchestra was moved to Rennes, France. The financial support during this switch, however, surprisingly increased and so did the amount of patrons at to their performances. Money intake increased four hundred and fifty nine percent while concert frequency and regularity also increased. Why the sudden increase in activity? Many believe it may be to due a certain mentality and psychology that people want to get away from the obsessions of the present time, understandably referring to the exhausting and troubling times of the war. A few downsides to this rather successful scene, however, stemmed from the Nazi power and their regulations on censorship. One guideline of the music in Europe was the banning of degenerate

Election In Nepal Essay
Recently, Nepal has completed two phases of local elections in six provinces covering 67 districts out of 75 districts, leaving the 8 districts in the province 2 for the third phase. The election result has imparted important, some expected and some unexpected, lessons for Nepali politics.
First, people were eager to participate in the elections. The overall participation level reached 71 percent. It was only expected in view of the fact that local elections were not conducted for almost two decades and local bodies were run by bureaucrats throughout that period.
Second, there was a clear disconnect between Madheshi political leaders now organized around the Rashtriya Janata Party Nepal and Madheshi voters. RJP leaders had...show more content...Franklin D. So the Madheshi voters have supported those political parties that could deliver what they want.

Colony Pledging Ceremony
All,
We are almost halfway through the expansion here at the College of Charleston! There has been a noticeable spike in interest in our organization over the past week when compared to last week. After presenting and getting in contact with several sororities and other student organizations, our names list almost quadrupled in size. The sororities and organizations seem to be very receptive to our mission here and they have been supportive overall. It seems that every day we have someone come to the tent with another referral to give us.
Overall, the expansion has been going along smoothly. The only issue that we have been facing is getting a chapter to come down to perform the colony pledging ceremony. We originally had Iota Kappa locked down, but they just recently backed out due to time and logistical reasons. We are working hard to fill that spot and provide an unforgettable first experience for the men of the College of Charleston Crescent Colony or, what I am calling them, the CCCC!

Gender Stratification Essay
According to Helsin, Possamai and Possamai Inesedy (2011 p. 625) gender stratification occurs when a specific gender has unequal access to power, property and prestige. As gender is classed as a master status it forms a significant structural characteristic within society (Helsin, Possamai Possamai Inesedy 2011, p. 310). Therefore, it is society, through social construction that determines what gender norms are considered appropriate and can be passed through generations of people via agents of socialisation such as family, mass media or in the form of symbolic interaction (Macionis Plummer 1997, pp. 139 141).

The whole movie is a series of milestones which makes the audience question every event that is represented. For instance, it is insinuated that Mason s parents aren t together, but there s never a conversation explaining why they aren t. The only conversation that was remotely close to explaining why was Mason Sr. stating that it just didn t work out. Linklater opens the conversation up with Mason Sr. giving a vague explanation about his relationship with Olivia to the kids that your mom is a piece of work, I think you know that by now (Linklater). This leaves the audience again to assume or make predictions about what happened between the two. Another reoccurring event that didn t go into too much detail is Olivia

Write An Essay On Failing Bridges In America
America`s infrastructure has been a concern for years, but as populations begin to grow and structures begin to become outdated the problem has become more urgent. One focus of this infrastructure problem is bridges, which are growing weaker causing economic and social concerns. The primary controversy around these bridge failures is what is causing them and the potential they have to cause disasters. Moreover, this potential is why Americans should invest more into their infrastructure. To fix the failing infrastructure problem, one must identify why the structures, in this case bridges, are failing in the first place. Civil engineers have identified that the problem is not cause by one singular factor, but a multitude of factors including age, materials, environment, faulty design, and lack of maintenance. Environmental factors are the biggest concern engineers run into because it is...show more content...When an issue is underfunded in government, it is typically because the people do not care about it enough to fund it. This is alarming because if America does not start paying attention to bridge infrastructure it will cause economic and safety problems in the future. One possible economic disaster that can come from this is that America will not have sufficient bridges to transport goods. This is important because if logistics are interrupted, economic productivity decreases. Another, more definite, economic disaster is that the longer the country fails to maintain its infrastructure the more it must spend on it later. According the American Society of Engineers, America will have to invest approximately 3.9 trillion dollars to fix the

Why Gays Join The Military
After completing the readings on gays and lesbians in the military one dynamic that I have not previously considered was the reason why some gay and lesbian military members join the military. In the article The Camouflage Closet: LGBT Veteran Educational Resource the writer discussed that some gay and lesbians join the military in order to disguise their sexual orientation. The article continues to describe how some gay men join the military to prove their masculinity, in order to hide their sexual orientation and some women join in order to deflect suspicions they may be gay or transgender. This is also known as flight into masculinity , which is where women find refuge in a characteristically masculine institution (Brown, 1998).This dynamic is not something that I every previously considered, but after reading the articles I can understand why this may be a way to mask sexual orientation....show more content...I believe that the greatest challenges that exist for service members is the stigma that is still associated with gay and lesbians in the military because of the military culture that has been instilled for so many years. Even with the Don t Ask Don t Tell Policy (DADT), military members still face discrimination if they are openly gay or lesbian. According to Bumiller (2012), A large percentage choose to remain in the closet, and part of that is they are reading signals from their peers that it is still not O.K. to be out in the military . Even though the repeal has made a positive impact in the legal barrier faced against gay and lesbians in the military, the harassment and discrimination has not

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

There are several different types of fossil fuels and renewable energy that we use for energy sources today....show more content...for ships. Soon after, the windmill is invented.
One of the paramount benefits of using renewable energy rather than fossil fuels is that it s much cleaner.

Introduction
Global village (McLuhan, 1964) is no longer a new concept in the 21st century. This is the place where all cultures integrate and cultural boundaries seem to be eliminated. Besides offering new opportunities for people all over the world to learn about foreign cultures, global village also presents such challenges as cultural conflicts, cultural diverging or assimilation.

Table 1 outlines the number of Australians who received an inheritance and is split according to gender. It displays that women are not receiving inheritances during the crucial age that they (see boxed area) are seeking property ownership, and establishing careers.
Evidence 2
Furthermore, there appears to be a lack of women in leadership and decision making roles which is demonstrated by a study conducted by Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC). They discovered that during 2006 to 2007, no women in rural organisations held Chief Executive Officer positions, and under 16 per cent of the member

Boyhood Film Analysis
Richard Linklater s Boyhood leaves the audience questioning, asking, and wanting more. The entirety of the film is a recollection of memories and experiences throughout the course of Mason s childhood. Overall Boyhood is like an unsolved puzzle with missing pieces that aren t enough to solve the puzzle. The entire movie is questionable and has so many gaps in between each memory that there really is no plot. Since there isn t a plot it makes you question if it is really about boyhood, about family, maybe Mason s childhood, or girlhood. Certain questions begin to formulate like, why doesn t Linklater use the typical format of storytelling during Mason s childhood? How come we never know what happened between Oliva and Mason Sr? Why doesn t...show more content...This is exactly what happened in Boyhood. Since there is no concrete storyline the audience is left to guess and criticize instead of enjoying the movie and appreciating the director s work.

These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2. Argumentative Essay On Climate Change
Climate change can be traced down to since the mid–1800s, when the industrial revolution first started taking place all around the world. Lives of
human and animal species have been negatively affected since then, with events such as natural disasters, the melting of ice in polar regions, and
change in weather and living conditions. Climate change in polar regions, in particular, has faced the most damage compared to any other region
because of its location in regard to the sun. Climate change holds many different views and opinions about the effects, and even the existence itself, but
evidence is clear and unmistakable in global ramifications and local impact in polar regions.
"...Climate change [is] the 'greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people'", skeptics like Senator Inhofe of Oklahoma like to say. Climate
change is change in climate patterns due to an increase in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases produced by certain human activity. According to
the National Snow and Ice Data Center, data taken by satellite has shown that the Arctic cover has decreased by 30% over the past 30 years, and this
change, which also include change in sea ice and permafrost, in artic weather and climate is caused by humans. Although numerous scientists have
confirmed the legitimacy of climate change, there are different views on whether climate change is real or not. Government officials like Senator Jim
Inhofe of Oklahoma or Senator Marco Rubio of Florida have explicitly stated that they do not believe climate change is neither real, nor caused by
humans (Tom McCarthy, 2014). On the other hand, mainstream media and other media outlets, such as The Independent and The Economist, have
reported their findings of climate change and its legitimacy. The Independent (Conner, S. 2011) reported that records of these changes were taken by
military submarines, land measurements, and satellite data to prove ice in polar regions are melting faster and faster. Satellites have tracked sea ice
since the 1970s and by nuclear submarines since the Cold War,
according to Peter Wadhams of Cambridge University and it was predicted that by September 2015, there would be no more sea ice. (Conner, S.
2011). Luckily, sea ice has not

3. Argumentative Essay On Empathy
Empathy is the ability to understand and experience the feelings of others, particularly others' suffering. Humanity's gift of understanding complex
emotions ushers in a new way of understanding ourselves and how we react to stimuli. This ultimately leads to questioning of everything, leading us to
one strong notion: Does empathy guide or hinder moral action? One common misconception while considering empathetic influence is how it
compares with sympathy. The two are a dichotomy, and must be differentiated. To sympathize is to feel sorry for someone, therefore making the victim
suffer even more. Empathy empowers the victim, allowing company to play a role in how humans naturally interact with one another to bond and heal.

Furthermore, during empathizing, emotional reaction in the observer correlates with the fact that connections between the person's mental state and
his or her behavior are not always governed by lawful conduct of emotion. The response to the other person's mental state creates a gap between
systemizing and empathizing, for without empathetic response, one could only have a very small or inaccurate reading of a person's emotion. The
systemizer only expects that the person's mental state will at least constrain their behavior. The level of empathy one has is greatly affected by how
systematic they are.
Now, taking into account the SQ/EQ, we can determine how individuals would respond to regular situations. The response to stimuli is heavily
weighted on self and our own experiences – as we are a product of our environment. However, fifty percent of one's own personality is determined
genetically, within one's very own alleles. This is why people act so much like their parents. Mothers can actually pass down a gene to their sons that
makes them dangerously unempathetic. This exact gene is what causes more men than women to become serial killers. In addition to the basis of human
structure, men also have a higher tendency to be aggressive, rendering most empathetic responses null, and barely thought about. Since males are more
likely to be systemizers, their

4. Argumentative Essay On Sexual Abuse
Imagine being robbed of your innocence in a matter of seconds. Imagine not being able to speak out due to threats and fear of seeking help and not
being taken seriously. Troubling, is it not? Sexual abuse has always been a problem in society that can affect anyone. Sexual abuse brings along many
negative outcomes; however, throughout the years, sexual abuse has been a factor that has always been ignored. Even though sexual abuse has had
many attempts to be avoided in various environments, all have failed. Many individuals tend to misinterpret sexual abuse and it's true delicacy.
Although sexual abuse is often a violation against women, both genders can be victims. Victims can succumb to mental disorders, including PTSD and
depression, which can initiate an unhealthy lifestyle to the point of triggering a contemplation of suicide. Nevertheless, sexual abuse has always been
biased towards women relative to men for as long as we can remember. Considering the fact that sexual abuse can occur to both genders, it is
mostly known to victimize women. One of the most common environments for sexual abuse to take place is in academic domains. In the view of
society, men are above women; in consequence, women portray a weak image, hence making easier casualties of sexual abuse in the educational
field. Due to the fact that students may need guidance to better excel in their career, some professors begin treating it as an opportunity to gain
sexual access from the student. To better illustrate the idea that sexual abuse makes its way through into academic environments, take the word from
the victims themselves. "I was naive enough to think that we would talk about Wittgenstein, but after he flopped over me a few times, telling me
that I had to have sex with him... I made my escape" (Whitley 39). Moreover, another victim said "I couldn't say 'no' because he would have
responded with rage and revenge. He would have ruined my career"(Whitley 39). In both cases, these women were attacked by the professors for
being of lesser status; they were manipulated to remain silent by fear, threats, and their dependence on the professor for academic help. Due to the idea
that women are viewed lesser than men, inflicts professors' to

them equal rights. They can give us helpful information, help the U.S economy. The Universal Declaration ofHuman Rights is a declaration adopted by
the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948, in Paris, France. It was written shortly after World War II. The atrocities committed
by Nazi Germany during the Holocaust shocked the world. It pushed countries to develop a set of standards and protections on how to treat their

Failure is the step towards success. Do you agree?
It is often assumed that failure is a deterrent to achievement. Rather, failure should be seen as a motivator for a person to keep trying until the
objective or aim of a particular mission is fulfilled. Failure often times leads a person to feel helpless, disappointed and depressed. However, one should
not allow this to set them back in trying to achieve the ultimate aim one has set out to do. Failure in the beginning can often be a powerful incentive to
reassess one's position in wanting to achieve the particular aims; to analyse whether the purpose is worth the trouble the person has to undergo and the

Another disadvantage of being an only is that he lacks companionship. He has no brother or sister to confide in. Growing up as an only child can
be very lonely. If you have siblings you will have to share everything, so you get less; but you also get less of the bad things. Siblings can support
and comfort each in times of trouble. The elder siblings learn to care for the younger ones and the younger ones learn to respect their elder siblings
and have someone to look up to besides their parents. You are more balanced person than an only child. Another advantage of having siblings is that
your parents' attention is divided among your siblings. As a result, there is less pressure on you to perform well, be it academically or in other areas.
Having siblings also means that you have companionship, the joy of caring and sharing, and security. I, personally, am happy that I am not an only child.

7. Argumentative Essay On Organ Donation
The medical industry had been achieving more in the stage of medical advancements, though they are still in the early phase. Artificial organs have
been one of those achievements. Although they have achieved such, artificial organs are not perfect. Most doctors as well as patients would prefer to
replace a dying organ with a compatible human organ, rather than with an artificial or animal organ. Yet due to a there being less organs donated than
recipients, artificial and animal organs are becoming more common in transplants. Most of this issue is because people are unaware of how organ
donation works, the organs that can be donated, how many people are in need, and the advancements that have happened in the field. Organ donation
saves hundreds of lives every year, but many lives are recklessly lost due to a shortage of organ donors.
Organ donation is the medical process of voluntarily giving one or more of your organs to someone in need, whether it be someone you know or a
stranger. It is strictly voluntary, no payment for the organ/s will be given from the hospital, the recipient or the recipients family. In organ donation,
there are two types of donations, living organ donation and deceased organ donation. Living organ donation is when the donor is still alive and
voluntarily chooses to donate one or more of their organs to a recipient(s) in need. Whereas, deceased organ donation happens after the donor has
passed away, and consent was given to be able to donate their organs.
In living organ donation, before a donor can donate there are tests administrated to see if the donor is suitable to donate. There is an evaluation of the
donor done to make sure that no physical, psychological, or emotional harm will happen to them before, during, or after donating (Organdonor.gov U.S.
Government Information on Organ Donation and Transplantation). In living organ donation, most donations happen within family members, or
between close friends, although there are stranger donations that happen. Living organ donors should generally be physically fit, in good health, and
between the ages of 18 to 60. They should not have a history or have diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, kidney disease, or heart disease

8. Essay about Arguing Against Standardized Testing
To many students standardized testing has become another part of schooling that is dreaded. Standardized testing has been a part of school since the
nineteen–thirties; in those days it was used as a way to measure students that had special needs. Since the time that standardized test have been in
American schools there has been many programs that have placed an importance on the idea of standardized testing such as the No Child Left Behind
Act of 2001 (Evans 1). Over the years the importance of standardized testing has increased tremendously and so has the stakes, not only for teachers but
also students. All states in the United States of America have state test in order to measure how much students learn, and help tell how well the...show

Most standardized test do not measure emotional or mechanical intelligence, actually a lot of educators argue that standardized test do not measure
comprehension or actual intelligence but rather memorization. While others may believe that standardized testing just needs a few improvements,
others believe that it is impossible to have a test that measures accurately the capability of a diverse student population. Today's schooling depends
heavily on the test scores from standardized test. Standardized testing should not have so much weight put on them because they have a negative
impact on effective education, students' self–concept, and learning styles.
Although standardized testing has been a major part of schooling it has also had a negative impact on effective education. Standardized has made a
huge impact on public schooling so much that not only does it affect the students but also the teachers. With the teachers now beginning to get raises or
having their jobs on the line if their students fail the test, many students have not been getting the fullest education process that they could get. Students
may not realize the impact that it has had on the type of teaching style that they receive because they are so used to it. With so many teachers not
having a lot of time to teach what is on the test and the other things that they feel are important to students to know, a lot of

Social networking has more benefits than you think. Some don't like social networking while others are all for it. There are many people who have
debated the benefits and detriments to society, students, and family. Example of social networking would be Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and
Youtube. Although social networking has some issues, many are easily taken care of, making it a benefit and improvement to society. The first
argument those against social networking mention is cyberbullying. "Cyber Bullying is deliberately using digital media to communicate false,
embarrassing, or hostile information about another person." (O'Keefe). Cyber Bullying can be a problem especially with insecure people who get it
too young, but the majority of people are fine with a little bit of crud and joking. The article, Bullycide: A brief history of the Phoebe Prince
phenomenon is all about the kids who got cyber bullied. They have a collection of real stories of people getting cyberbullied. There are many
examples of people getting bullied and committing suicide. This article said, "By many accounts, it's getting worse, as social networking and
text–messaging have expanded the bullies toolkit: Studies show that 33 to 42 percent of kids have been attacked or humiliated online." ("Bullycide").

One of the areas of my writing where I was struggling in using my voice. Granite, there were parts of my essay where I successfully integrated

when I say, "Today, consumers rely on social media for everything, whether it is communicating with old friends, finding new friends, shopping,
researching, and staying informed with the latest news. Daniel adds that, "'Americans who take part in political activities on social networking
sites also tend to be highly active in other areas of political or civic life'" (29), which insinuates that people rely on social media more today than we
have in the past". This was one of my better examples because I further explain and analyze the quote in my voice instead of just ending the
sentence after the quote. One of my poor examples is, "Many people who suffer from depression care a lot about what others think about them.
That is why many of those people tend to turn to social media as an outlet to express their feelings". I made a bold statement and did not back up
what I said with my voice I just ended that sentence and moved on. Instead of moving on I should have explained it further and told them why people
tend to turn to social media to express their feelings. One of the areas of my writing where I was

11. Argument Essay On Equality
Equality Argument Essay "THE YEAR WAS 2081, and everybody was finally equal." these are the first words read in the short story, "Harrison
Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut. The story is about a future where everyone in the world is, "not only equal in front of God and the law", but also
equal in every which way, like knowledge and looks and physical ability. In the story, a couple is watching tv and witness their arrested son break
into a ballet and dance a wonderful dance only to be shot dead by the handicapper general herself. That leaves a question, what the reader can easily
tell from the story is that the author believes that equality is a bad thing. To end, I believe that equality is not what we should need one hundred
percent but give everyone an equal chance and see where they take it.
To start, why would equality be so bad? From the first view, equality sounds like a good thing. Everyone gets equal treatment, pay, etc. But what
about when a serial killer gets the same treatment a veterinarian. How fair would it be for someone who saves animals lives to be treated the same
publically as someone who's murdered, multiple people? After seeing this, equality can seem fairly split, but there's also a difference, there's equality
then there's equity. Equality would be people treated equal, especially socially and equal opportunities, while equity is definite fairness. That means
people brought down or up to meet the same level. What I believe was exhibited in the story "Harrison Bergeron", was not equality, but actually equity.
This can be seen by them bringing people down from their abilities or up to meet a standard to make everyone equal. As the story states, "A little

but at the same time not bringing people up to that level. "Nobody was stronger or quicker than anybody else", the idea of this, in theory, seems
clever. Everyone equal in every single way, even mentally. But the more the reader may think of it, they see little holes. There's no drive to get better,
no devotion to beat something, there's just what it is and the reader can't do anything to get

12. What Makes An Effective Argument Ineffective?
1.The basic parts of an effective argument are a stated clearly defined issue, makes a claim, and offers support for that claim. Sometimes an argument
may also recognize opposing viewpoints and incorporate them into the argument
2.What makes an argument ineffective is when using emotional appeals to distract a reader from a lack of evidence. Also the use of faulty reasoning,
and inaccurate facts.
3.An issue is a problem, controversy, or an idea that people can have different viewpoints about. The term claim is a point in which a writer is trying to
prove. This is typically the writer's viewpoint on the issue. A refutation is recognizing and auguring against opposing viewpoints.

13. Argumentative Essay On Memorials
Memorializing events in the history of the world for any purpose has it's positives as well as the negatives. Ranging from a memorial of a popular
United States president from a loved one of a family, memorials have generally served as a purpose of remembrance from the past of said event. The
purpose of the memorial is usually associated with a positive, uplifting feeling towards the deceased individual or past event. While this is more or
less simply defining what memorials are for, what is the meaning behind them? What purpose do they serve besides the simplicity that they are?
Important messages from a few varied sources will give a differing viewpoint on memorials from one to another. The first thought of memorials is the

Memorials are meant to be striking in the sense that you will notice said memorial and donate some attention to it. The views of these see this attention
capturing as exceedingly high for some purposes. Some memorials are outstanding in their craftsmanship and aesthetics. This makes people wonder
what could be lurking inside the memorial, or what is near that memorial. What we've got here is a formula, striking looks of the monument is almost
guaranteed to attract some form of attention. According to Source G, the analogy of tainting the planet with specific memorials are ridiculous, "I
imagined taking a knife and cutting into the earth, opening it up, an initial violence and pain that in time would heal. The grass would grow back, but
the initial cut would remain a pure flat surface in the earth with a polished, mirrored surface, much like the surface on a geode when you cut it and
polish the edge. The need for the names to be on the memorial would become the memorial; there was no need to embellish the design further. The
people and their names would allow everyone to respond and remember. The ideals of such nonsensical placements of the memorials are just irritable at

14. Argumentative Essay On Renewable Energy
Renewability
For nearly everyone on earth, fossil fuels are a part of our daily lives. Some of the more obvious places to find petroleum products would be gas and
diesel in cars and trucks, but it is in more than just your tank. Without fossil fuels, we would not have things such as plastic to make a wide variety of
things such as tires, kayaks, or even computers. The question remains, do we need fossil fuels?
In this day and age, we have new energy sources that could be used to power our homes and transportation. Wind and solar power are used all over
the world, but are still used far less than fossil fuels. Most would say it's not reliable or it doesn't make any profit. While both statements are true, it
doesn't mean we can't make a better future using renewable energy. In fact, the only reason we don't use renewables for everything is that we don't want
to change. The hard truth is we need to change. Fossil fuels are great right now, but if we run out, humanity must have another source of energy.
Renewable energy may seem like a daunting task, but the benefits to humanity could be incredible. Public uses of renewable energy range from
transportation all the way to heating and cooling. Everything we use could become less explosive and less expensive. Cities with a high concentration
of people could become safer and healthier places to live. Transportation could be converted to electricity dramatically, improving smog conditions.

16. Argumentative Essay Quotes
Cabute, Jeanette Anne H.
BSIE–HE 4A
Quotation:
1."Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." –Maria Robinson
Explanation: Our lives are full of ups and downs. Often we get so caught up with the downs in our lives that we fall into depression. We feel that
everything in life is falling apart. You regret the choices you've made in the past and feel that you have failed in life. Understand that you cannot go
back in time and undo choices you've made but that you can stop yourself from repeating the past by making smarter decisions so that you can have a
better future.
Reaction: Yes, our life is full of up and downs. We also cannot change the past, but we can make better things or choices

If we try new things we're going to make a few mistakes but we are learning from that mistake. If you don't make any mistakes, you're in a rut and
not trying anything new. Mistakes are part of our lives, we cannot change it, and we just have to take the risk. Nothing is impossible if we try new
things and nothing will lose if you try right.
4."The heart has its reasons which reason knows not." –Blaise Pascal
Explanation: The heart, the organ capable of storing love can also reason. Its reasoning makes all the sense in the world to the heart and to the heart's
owner when the owner first hears it. It's the reasoning that makes you fall in love at first sight. It's the reasoning that somehow makes it so hard to let
somebody go even though you have no logical reason to want that person to stay.
Reaction: The quote means that you have to listen to your heart. Just like in love, you just only knew that you love that person but you don't know
why. We fall in love in a mutual weirdness and called it love.
5."When love is not madness it is not love." –Pedro CalderГіn de la Barca
Explanation: The actual quote is when love is not madness, it is not love, and it is by Pedro Calderon. Love in its self is madness. Love brings to life
so many different emotions that it is like a chaos in your

17. Examples Of Fallacious Reasoning
Fallacious reasoning is repugnant to good reasoning" Discuss
Reasoning according to Bo Bonnet(2016) is the process of making sence of information by verifying fact, changing beliefs or justifying beliefs, based
on evidence. Good reasoning has a purpose,is based on evidence, follows a criteria and attempts to solve a problem.Reasoning that fails to meet these

18. Argumentative Writing Rough Draft
Outline, planning, revising, rough and final draft, grading. This is the typical process for writing an essay, I however as a young high school student
never followed this. I started with an idea in my head and go on from there. I never considered a need to plan and prepare an outline, just to write a
rough draft that I would have to revise, draft, and draft again. It would just be easier to start writing the final draft first right? No. This class has taught
me many strategies on how to accustom my writing to a college level. Over the semester in this class I have grown, learned how to effectively draft,
and experienced argumentative writing first hand.
I, over the semester, have grown in both literacy and critical thinking. A direct comment from Mr. Gish on the firstessay I wrote for the class was "Nice
reading!" to this sentence in the essay "This continues to show that people in poverty aren't charity cases, but rather they are human beings.". This
comment, along with others, shows me that I am capable to effectively write in one of the worst essays that I have written. The reason for this
growth was the support of both my friends and family. My father would help me with grammatical errors and final revision decisions in some essays.
This growth happened slowly with a lot of effort put towards it. An example from my first essay is "First and foremost, Gordon Park's imagery
throughout his composition." this is the topic sentence to a short paragraph in the beginning of

19. Argumentative essays are very important because of their ability to help people argue in a mature manner. However, many people do not know how to
successfully write an argumentative essay. Writing argumentative essays is easy once they are broken down into a few simple parts. These essays
should be taken seriously and written with passion and facts. To write a successful argumentativeessay, start off with a good hook, make claims that are
backed by evidence, and then refute the opposing side's arguments.
The first step in creating a successful argumentative essay is to write a powerful introduction. This includes a hook, background information, and your
thesis. A good hook can include a funny anecdote, a shocking fact, or an inspiring quote.
