Dilli Haat is a traditional market project in New Delhi, enhancing the blend of crafts, food, and culture across two locations, with the first completed in 1993 and the second in 2008. Utilizing reclaimed land, each site hosts a variety of shops that rotate every 15 days, along with diverse food stalls from different states, all embedded in a pedestrian-friendly environment. The design incorporates sustainable practices such as natural ventilation and recycled water irrigation for landscaped areas, aiming to present a humane public space that respects visitors and craftsmen alike.
