This week, Mrs. Roussell's students will work on a biography poem and timeline about George Washington Carver in reading, continue their research reports in writing, focus on geometry in math review, and discuss test-taking strategies in Tiger Time. MAP testing will take place from April 12th-14th with a reward movie on the 15th. The class will go on a field trip to learn about Carver on April 20th.

This Week’s Assignments
Reading –Now that we have researched George Washington Carver, the students
will be working on a Bio Poem and timeline of his life.
Writing – Students are finished researching and will now begin their reports.
Spelling – Students will be working in their Words Their Way groups on a particular
word sort.
Math – This week we will continue our review of the many math concepts we have
covered this year. We will really focus on a review of Geometry this week.
Tiger Time – We will continue working through MAP like questions and discussing
test taking strategies like pacing yourself, what to do if you don’t understand a
question, what to do if your answer isn’t one of the options available, and many other
strategies.

2. Check your child’s assignment book nightly and ask them about their day at
school.
