EDUCATION AND DESIGNATION BACKGROUND
I am a person who strives for company’s mission and accomplishment, by using all the given
talent to optimize the method and collaborate with production to achieve 100% Month to Date
Delivery or 100% On Time Delivery target; of which has been my commitment for my services to
my employers herein.
At present, I’m in a Senior Managerial (Head of Engineering) position in Multi National Company
- SCA Hygiene, Swedish (Since April 2014) and previously with Continental Tyres (Head of
Engineering TBR & Control & Drives since May 2011- April 2014), German base Multinational
organization and SKF Bearing Malaysia Snd Bhd, Swedish (as Assistant Manager Plant &
Maintenance Department since Feb1992 till May 2011) and exposed to Technical, international
business management issues and trends. I have been servicing for the past 23 years in this
organization (since Feb’1992); and ever since then have been involved in Training, Couching,
Managing Project and Maintenance activities and productivity improvement systems. QMS (ISO
9001:2000 & TS 16949, ISO1801 and ISO1401). Well-versed in Total Preventive Maintenances
(TPM) methodology which include Improvement maintenance, Predictive / Condition Base
Monitoring Maintenance, Proactive Maintenance, Preventive maintenance, Pre Shutdown and
Shutdown Activity for reconditioning Machine and Furnace annual Serves.

I excelled in Engineering and Management; being my education background. Currently; I’m
applying both of these skills in my present working environment. Apart from that, I also
specialize in Automation Maintenance, Robotic Automation, Program Logic Control (PLC)
programming (Machine Tool Control, SIEMENS S5 & SIEMENS S7, Mitsubishi & CNC), Reliability
Centered Maintenance II, Productivity Improvement, Knowledge on Hydraulic System and
Electro-pneumatic System, Electrical Circuit Design, PCB Design & Repairs, TPM,TQM and DOE (6
sigma).Excellent inter personnel & communication skills. Speak and write well in English and
Bahasa Malaysia. I have also graduated in Masters of Business Administration in Management
from Charles Darwin University (Formerly known as Northern Territory University) of Australia;
as well as Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Southern Pacific
University, USA.
ACHIEVEMENTS
1. Machine rebuilding or refurbishment project. Cost saving on the purchase of a brand
new machine. Reuse of the existing molds and tooling, with a minimum replacement of
parts. Cost saving done on this project is approximately 54% of overall costs incurred in
monetary value and labour cost. Lead time saving of 80% of delivery time if assigned
from Vendor for new machine. This has been a source to reduce inventory as it is a local
source for local material.
2. Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or API (Analysis, Planning
and Information) Maintenance System. Aspects covered:- OEE, Mean Time Between
Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Spare part inventory, breakdown trend
follow-up, machine monitoring, service and maintenance. End result is 30% saving
(reducing Electrician & Mechanics Technician from shift and optimizing Engineers,
Chargeman and Fitters. Increase 30% to 70% Preventive and proactive Task vs. brake
down maintenance.
3. Cost-saving implementation on in-house repair of Drive and PCB (minimum inventory
incurred); aspects included:- Forwarding cost saving, Customs documentation and
handling cost, approximate 40% cost saving on monetary value.

4. Pre-shutdown (Off-line preparation) and Shut down Activity for (Critical Machine
/Furnace Annual Service). This is to minimize real operating time and manning
utilization. Before implementation - Production loss about 10 working days; after
implementation - maximum loss of 4 days only incurred captured.
5. Implement Proactive and Preventive Maintenances. Vibration monitoring,
thermography, oil monitoring, auto lubricant system. Reduce unexpected stop and more
damage to the machine. ROI for this project is less than 2 years. Initially, using external
suppliers to perform this job to collect all the related data for about 6 months. Now, we
have built our local resources to get use all the related tools, then perform the job
internally by our in-house employees.
WORKING EXPERIENCE
SCA Hygiene Central & South East Asia Based in Shah Alam as Head Of Engineering - To manage
Process, Electrical, Mechanical and Machinery Spare Parts
•Safety:
o Ensures all safety rules and safe work procedures are followed in area of responsibility
o Support and drive BOS (Be Aware of Safety) and co-operative safety programs and
initiatives
o Acts as a role model – demonstrating the safety behaviors that eliminate risk
o Continuously observes/enforces good housekeeping practices according to 5’S
•Quality:
o Manage and monitor annual vendor service level/contracts in area of responsibility
o Manage / Record the calibration of all process instrumentation and test equipment
o Provide usable reliability-cantered maintenance tools and systems in support of
operating KPI’s and quality goals of equipment within the BU’s/Asset areas.
o Drives / Support and record availability testing, modifications, product development
(Product Development Phase-PDP, Product Launching Phase-PLP, Material Change
Phase-MCP).
o Managing external Audit / Certification (FM Global, ISO and DOSH,JKKP)
•Capabilities Development:
o Responds to needs of the operating team by identifying and Implementing appropriate

training, technical manuals, and optimizing vendor relationships
o Establishing long-term maintenance plans for all manufacturing equipment and
associated utility systems to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
o Implement and introduce new technology or methods to optimize unit operating cost
including Energy saving.
o Acquire a thorough knowledge of machine/product technology and processes, and
transfer that knowledge to operating team and RST to facilitate continued
improvement.
o To assist in liaising with external contractor for upgrade, repair and maintenance
related matters.
o Ensure teams work according to Hygiene Manufacturing Excellence principles
(Development and Implementation of the TPM system, Preventive & Predictive
Maintenance)
 Daily Direction Setting (DDS)

 Developing/maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and documentation
o Generate Mechanical / Electrical / Process maintenance reports as per agreed
o Responsible to assist in the development of common standards and working methods
for the factory as a whole, in the area of:
(i) Development of relevant documentation system to secure sharing and
continuous learning for the factory.
(ii) Development of problem solving system for business unit to perform root
cause analysis activities.
(iii) Process engineering, raw material utilization, scraps reduction, changeovers
and any other activities that are related to the departmental target.
•Delivery:
o Supports project implementation with the Operations Leader analyses production
incidences
o Responsible for eliminating technical interruptions in production
o Coordinates corrective and plan maintenance
o Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of Spare Parts processes,

o Develop standards and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of each improvement.
o Liaise with other departments in coordinating systems and procedural improvements in
spare parts control.
o Provide coaching and training for Spare Parts Store team to improve the knowledge
and skills in handling inventory system.

• To maintain maintenance of plant, equipment and tools in the production and in the facility
