The London Borough of Bexley is holding an apprenticeship open day on June 24th from 10am to 12pm to provide information about their various apprenticeship programs that help young people transition from education to employment by offering work-based learning placements in areas such as teaching, business administration, customer service, and horticulture. The apprenticeship program encourages 16-24 year olds to spend 4 days per week in a placement and 1 day per week attending college to work towards a recognized qualification.

The London Borough of Bexley help on average 32 young people
every year bridge the gap between education and employment by
offering work-based learning apprenticeship placements.
We currently have several vacancies in our Bexley Schools working
towards Teaching, Learning & Support and Childcare, Learning and
Development frameworks.
We also support placements in the following areas:
Business Administration
Customer Service
Information and Communication Technology
Horticulture
(from September 2011 we are hoping to offer limited apprenticeship placements in Surveying and Engineering)
The apprenticeship programme encourages 16-24 year olds to
spend 4 days per week in a placement and attend college 1 day
per week working towards a recognised qualification as part of
the full apprenticeship framework.
