Objectives
The course is designed to provide the students the basic
concepts of applied linguistics and to enlarge students’
knowledge on the field of linguistics after having dealt with
theoretical linguistics as well as to equip students with
pertinent information about applied linguistics definitions,
origins, foundations and scope

concepts of applied linguistics

Individual participation
Lateness tolerance is 15 minutes, if you join later than 15 minutes
you can join the class but cannot sign the attendance list. If I could
not attend the meeting I will tell you beforehand.
Minimum attendance is 75% of all meetings. Being absent more
than 4 times without any clear reasons will cause you withdrawal
from the course.
Always be polite both in speaking and dressing
Please do not eat and/or sleep during the meeting.
For presenters: Paper must be submitted one week after
presentation, do paraphrasing and not just copy & paste.
References must be listed.
Be on time submitting your assignments.
Everyone must be prepared and read the material before the class
begins.
Every student must be active during the presentation and
discussion activity.
For Every Presentation:

Presenting group must have their slides submitted before the
