2018 PTCRISync
PTCRIS (Portuguese Current Research Information System) is a program, officially initiated in May 2014, which aims to ensure the creation and sustained development of a national integrated information ecosystem, to support research management according to the best international standards and practices. One of PTCRIS' goals is to reduce the burden of research output management, by adopting an "input once, re-use often" principle.
PTCRISync is a synchronization framework developed in this context, that relies on ORCID - a community-based service that aims to provide a registry of unique researcher identifiers (an ORCID iD) and a method of linking research outputs to these identifiers, based on data collected from external sources - as a central hub for information exchange between the various national systems (including CV management systems such as DeGóis, open access repositories such as RCAAP or SARI, and local CRIS systems) and international systems (WoK, Scopus, Datacite, etc), that shall enable researchers (or managers) to register once a given research output at one of the interconnected national systems, and automatically propagate that output to the remaining ones, thus ensuring global consistency of the stored information.
The main challenge in the design of this framework stems from fundamental differences between the data model of ORCID and that of most CRIS services. The specified synchronization framework operates at the user profile level, that is, it synchronizes user profiles from different CRIS services with the corresponding user profile from ORCID. The effective synchronization procedures are designed to keep the user profiles at ORCID and CRIS synchronized according to well-defined consistency constraints, and satisfy several "well-behavedness" properties, such as correctness or stability. A user interface to act as a front-end for these synchronization procedures is also proposed by PTCRISync.

Enterprise Information Integration (EII) is a process that provides a single interface and data representation to make heterogeneous data sources appear as a single homogeneous source. EII faces challenges as data can be stored in various formats across different systems. Technologies like ADO.NET and JDBC help access these different data sources. EII architecture supports various data sources, SQL queries across sources, and views of integrated data. EII aims to integrate both structured and unstructured enterprise information for uses like reporting, data warehousing, and applications. Web Service Computing is a recent evolution in Distributed Computing series and it is an emerging and fast growing paradigm in the present scenario. Web Service Computing is a diversified discipline suite that related to the technologies of Business Process Integration and Management, Grid / Utility / Cloud Computing paradigms, autonomic computing, as well as the business and scientific applications. It applies the theories of Science and Technology for bridging the gap between Business Services and IT Services. Service oriented computing addresses how to enable the technology to help people to perform business processes more efficiently and effectively, ultimately resulting in creating WIN-WIN strategy between the business organizations and end users. The greatest significance of the web services is their interoperability, which allows businesses to dynamically publish, discover, and aggregate a range of Web services through the Internet to more easily create innovative products, business processes and value chains both from organization and end user points of views. Due to these, this cross discipline attracts the variety of researchers from various disciplines to conduct the versatile research and experiments in this area.
From these perspectives, this International Journal on Web Service Computing (IJWSC) is a quarterly open access peer-reviewed journal aims to act as a research platform to share and explore the main issues in Web Service Computing by publishing the current trends & technologies and research methods in the associated fields and thereby to promote the related research community.

The Flemish Government in Belgium has an interoperability program called Open Standards for Linked Organizations (OSLO), which focuses on both technical and semantical interoperability of data and systems used for (digital) government service delivery.
On the semantical level, information is aligned with European standards (ISA² Core Vocabularies and INSPIRE), enriched by data extensions to comply with the local context. On the technical level, we developed RESTFul APIs which build upon the principles of Linked Data.
The API conforms to the Flemish URI standard1, describing how data resources can be exposed using persistent and “cool” URIs2, in line with international best practices. Because of its extensibility and since it is already a standard for data interchange on the web, Flemish Administrations have chosen the Resource Description Framework (RDF) to facilitate the creation and reuse of machine-readable data.

Current activities include building an ecosystem of apps and services to advance inter-institutional cooperation, analyzing parliamentary texts, and advising on emerging technologies. A law-as-code approach to fundamentally transform rulemaking in Greece
