PEACE's mission is to reduce victim trauma from domestic violence and sexual assault through direct services, education, and challenging social norms that perpetuate violence. The city of Portland has seen increasing reports of domestic violence, abuse, and other crimes over the last 5 years. The National Foundation's funding program aims to promote well-being for those affected by domestic violence, reduce its prevalence, improve quality of life for families with incarcerated members, and provide rehabilitation for young people in the criminal justice system. It offers one-time grants up to $5,000 and funding up to $150,000 a year for 3 years to support organizations addressing its objectives.
