Apollo was a major god in Greek and Roman mythology known for being associated with many domains including light, truth, prophecy, healing, music, poetry, and more. As the son of Zeus and Leto, and twin brother of Artemis, Apollo was regarded as the god of prophecy through his role at the Delphic Oracle. He was also seen as a god who could bring illness or end plagues. Apollo was additionally the patron and leader of the Muses, making him the god of music and poetry.
