Who is Apollo?
Apollo is the god of light, Music,
Poetry, the sun, medicine and Knowledge.
Apollo is the god of truth, who cannot speak a lie.
The god of healing who taught man medicine.
The ancient Greek people believed that
Apollo was one of the most important god’s.
Apollo’s job being the god of the sun,
was to harness his chariot with his four
horses and drive the sun across the sky
throughout the day.
The ancient Greeks knew
that without the sun, their crops would fail
and they could not survive.
Why is Apollo a legend ?
Apollo was a legend in his own right and
was also the child of legendary gods Zeus
and Leto.
Apollo was famous for
his oracle at Delphi,
people traveled to it
from all over to foresee
their future.
Apollo quick facts :
• Apollo lived on Mount Olympus.
• Apollo’s Symbol’s are a golden Lyre, Python,
Raven, Bow and arrows.
• He had a twin sister named Artemis.
• Apollo had four children named Asclepius,
Troilus, Aristaeus and Orpheus.
