A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was an Indian scientist and politician who served as the 11th President of India. He was born in 1931 in Rameswaram, India and died in 2015 in Shillong, India. He received education from St. Joseph's College and Madras Institute of Technology. As a scientist, he worked on important projects for India's space and missile development programs. As President, he was known for promoting education and development initiatives.
