Cnidaria are a diverse group of aquatic animals that can be found in all ocean depths. They have two main body forms, polyps and medusae, and can reproduce both sexually and asexually. A key feature of cnidarians is their nematocysts, stinging organelles that help capture prey and provide defense, and which are triggered by direct contact or stimulus.
