Antoine C. Wallace is a native of Nassau, Bahamas. He is a graduate of Queens College High School.
Mr. Wallace won the Arts Festival for solo voice in Nassau, Bahamas for four consecutive years. He is the
past recipient of scholarships from the Lyford Cay Foundation, The Nassau Music Society, the Nassau
Renaissance Singers, and the Diocesan Chorale. Mr. Wallace continued his education at the Interlochen
Centre of the Arts in Michigan, U.S.A. Upon completion of his credits, he received the " Phi Mu Alpha
Sinfonia"- Most Outstanding Male Musician Award and the " President’s Young Artist Award in
Voice". Mr. Wallace obtained his Bachelors degree in Music from the St. Louis Conservatory of Music
located in St. Louis, Missouri in May 1990.
Mr. Wallace was on the musical staff of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri for five years. Mr.
Wallace has toured the United States extensively as a featured soloist. He completed a tour of 20 cities in 11
States, which included his debut at the Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Centre, New York City. Mr. Wallace
has sung with some of the world's top artists such as: Mr. William Warfield (Baritone (deceased)), Mr.
Robert Mcfferin (Baritone) (deceased) and as a featured soloist on a recital with Mr. Simon Estes
(Baritone). Mr. Wallace has appeared in many Operas and Oratorios .In June 2009, Mr. Wallace co-
produced “Catalyn and Curry’s “Guanahani” to rave reviews. Mr. Wallace conducted the cast and
orchestra in The Artist Guild International productions of Lloyd-Webber's " Phantom of the Opera" and
Gershwin's " Porgy and Bess". Mr. Wallace has also co-conducted the Allegro Singers and The Bahamas
Concert Orchestra in performances of Faure’s Requiem and Borodin’s Prince Igor. He is now preparing
for upcoming performances in the Bahamas and the United States while exploring his artistic options in the
European and Asian circuits . Mr. Wallace sang the lead role of “Porgy” in Gershwins “Porgy & Bess”
with the Nassau City Opera Company and has recently sung the lead role of “Sammie Swain” in the
“Shakespeare in Paradise" production of “The Legend of Sammie Swain”.
Mr. Wallace has worked as a personal assistant to the Minister of Education and as a Cultural Officer
attached to the National Arts Festival Unit with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture. He has
travelled throughout the Bahama Islands, the United States, the Caribbean and Central America
representing the Government of the Bahamas.
Mr. Wallace is the Proprietor and Chief Vocal Consultant for The Allegro Studios in Nassau, Bahamas.
He is also the founder and conductor of The Allegro Singers. Mr. Wallace is the former assistant
director of the Senior Choir of The Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Nassau, Bahamas. Mr. Wallace is
the former Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral in Nassau, Bahamas. Mr. Wallace and his
Associates are available for private voice training and choral workshops. Mr. Wallace is the former Host of
the top rated show “Rhythms of the Caribbean” and a Marketing & Account Executive at Global 99.5
fm/exclusive home of the “Steve Harvey Morning Show” in the Bahamas. Mr. Wallace is now
accepting a limited amount of vocal students and booking Choral Workshop and special events.
