This document provides instructions for conducting anthropometric tests to measure resting heart rate, blood pressure, and body composition. It outlines how to locate the brachial and carotid arteries to take pulse readings, lists heart rate ranges by age and fitness level, and explains how to properly measure blood pressure. The tests are part of health screening and assessment prior to exercise prescription. Students will partner up to practice taking pulse and blood pressure readings, with one student as the client, one administering the test, and one evaluating.
