1. Animal rescue
Animal rescue is defined as protect the animals from dangerous situation that involve
cruelty and abuse . It is much needed social services.
Ways of rescue animals:
• Transporting: transport to save shelter.
• Fostering: animal should be keep in your home with essential care and love until
they will be adopted.
• Adoption: Adoption of animal by pet or animal lovers.
• Donation: Donate to your nearer friends, needed people or other organization who
provide proper care to the animals (such as providing proper housing and feeding).
2. First aid
Introduction
• First aid for farm animals means immediate treatment of injuries or any other
sudden illness, in the animals.
• It is done in situations of life-threatening emergencies which require immediate
action by owner or animal health worker
Objectives:
• To save the life of animals
• To reduce their pain and suffering
• Prevent situation from deterioration
• Promote recovery of ill animals
3. Ways to administer first aid
Place the animal in a cool, calm and well ventilated place or a shaded area.
Provide well ventilation or adequate air supply.
Give small amounts of cold water containing glucose or sugar frequently.
Ice packs should be applied on the head, forehead and all over the body.
If you cannot get ice, use cold towel press it on the head and chest of the animal.
If superficial wound or injuries are seen then use disinfect with antiseptic solution.
Apply direct pressure using a clean cloth or sterile dressing directly on the wound
If minor cut is present , wash with antiseptic solution and bandage aseptically.
