Angry Eye Experiment
This experiment was very effective in my opinion. Rose was harsh to the people
involved in the experiment but not nearly as harsh as racism can be and sometimes still is. Some
of the members broke down and one member actually left, demonstrating her ability to do so.
The member that left the experiment could not take the criticism and decided to leave, but when
it comes to racism, that is not a possibility.
Rose only used her words to demonstrate racism which is harsh to begin with but there
are other acts of racism much worse that are still happening today. It is sad to think of how long
that this issue has occurred and things still haven’t changed. Racism is very relevant in today’s
world and bad things happen because of it to this very day. There are people being mugged,
shot, and killed because of their skin color. So Rose’s experiment seems minor in comparison to
what some families have to go through because of people’s hatred for different ethnicities. I
believe that her experiment is very effective and really gives people a new point of view. I know
that it gave me a new perspective and made me realize that racism is still a problem to this very
day.
