Stereotype
For our classes stereotype activity we were put into groups and then, since most of our
class are freshmen, we had to identify five groups from our high schools. My group came up
with the jocks, art geeks, popular people, rednecks, and the druggies. We classified the jocks as
the athletes from our schools that everyone seemed to like. This was usually because they were
attractive and talked to a lot of people. And they often did well in sports so people liked them.
We classified the art geeks as the kids who were socially awkward and usually didnโt talk to
many people or like many people for that matter. The popular people were the rich kids that
would only talk to their posse and hangout with them as well. Most people liked them because
everyone thought they were perfect and wanted to be like them. The rednecks were classified as
the kids who came to school in their camo and muddy boots and would always raise hell in the
parking lot with their loud trucks. They were also the kids who got in trouble the most, usually
for fighting or missing school. The druggies were the kids that would come to school drunk or
high or get kicked out of games because of this reason. They were also considered to be school
skippers and usually smelt like smoke.
