ANEC's 2012 Annual Report
JANUARY, 2012
 ANEC Executive Director Tenpa C. Samkhar had meeting and
discussions with Dr. Mary Gendler and Rabbi Everett Gendler
before they left Mussorrie on January 1st
, 2012.
 ANEC Executive Director spent two additional days at the
Tibetan Homes Foundation in Mussorrie for necessary winding up
tasks such as video re-editing, clearing official expenses bills,
thanking concerned officials at the Tibetan Homes Foundation in
Mussoorie.
 ANEC Executive Director did public outreaching and information
dissemination while in Dehradhun.
 ANEC Executive Director Tenpa C. Samkhar met with Tibet
supporter and singer cum song writer Mr. Joe Hamilton from
Germany and exchanged information and materials on Tibet
related issues.
 In active collaboration with the Tibetan Homes Foundation in
Mussoorie, ANEC edited a video coverage of the ANEC Pilot
Training Program for the Tibetan Homes Foundation in Mussoorie.
 ANEC Accountant cum Office Secretary Tenzin Nyima prepared
and submitted to Executive Director Activities report during the
period of the ANEC Pilot Project implementation in Mussoorie.
FEBRUARY, 2012
 ANEC Executive Director sent Mussoorie Pilot Project Report to
Gendlers.
 ANEC Executive Director meeting with ANEC Former Staff Mrs.
Nyernga who invited Executive Director for dinner at the Tibet
Kitchen and donated Rs.2000/- to ANEC from her personal side.
 ANEC Executive Director and staff spent lot of time on making
printing format for Mary's Workshop Report book and also worked
on formatting Gendlers' revised Brochure on " Universal
Nonviolence Training"
 ANEC Issued Urgent Press Release on Self Immolations inside
Tibet and on nonviolent strategies to be implemented inside Tibet.
 Maya from Emory University had an hour long interview with
ANEC Executive Director on ANEC and activities.
 Every Monday meeting for weekly planning, policy and
administration.
MARCH, 2012
 ANEC Executive Director and staff spent lot of time on preparing
5th
ANEC News letter.
 ANEC appointed new Ad-hoc Project Officer Mr. Yusuf Naik
 Former ANEC volunteer Sweta Penemetsa and husband once again
volunteer for ANEC for two days on important documentation work.
 ANEC Executive Director interviewed by Natalie and Megan from
America.
 Intensive preparation and rehearsal for week long ANEC workshop
for Professor and students from the University of Alabama at
Birmingham.
 ANEC received nomination letter from All India Achievers
Foundation for special merit Award at the all India national level.
 ANEC Executive Director hired Mr. Pema, Former DIIR video
photographer for re-editing Mussoorie ANEC pilot Project video
film as desired by the Gendlers'.
 Hong Kong based freelance Journalist cum Tibet supporter Nancy
Nash invited ANEC Executive Director for lunch and meeting at the
Japanese Restaurant at the Guchusum organization.
 ANEC Executive Director in the capacity Former CTA General
Secretary was invited by Kalon Tripa Dr. Lobsang Sangay for day
long meeting of the Kashag, Former Kalons' and Former CTA
Secretaries to discuss the urgent situation inside Tibet and future
course of action from the side of the CTA.
 ANEC Executive Director Tenpa C. Samkhar attended special
official mourning ceremony at the main temple organized by CTA
and TYC CENTREX in memory of Pawo Jamphel Yeshi who
committed self immolation for the Tibetan cause in Delhi.
 ANEC received a complimentary letter from Ms. Nancy Nash.
 Three day ANEC special workshop at Sahara Institute of higher
Tibetan studies for Tibetan teacher trainees at the invitation of DOE
of CTA.
APRIL, 2012
 ANEC Executive Director invited the Director of Volunteers Tibet to
the ANEC Office for lunch and meeting regarding coordination and
collaboration between the two Organisations.
 ANEC Executive Director met with Mr. Yonten Gyatso and
Ngawang Woebhar la ANEC Governing Board Member regarding
ANEC activities.
 Invited ANEC Governing Board member Mr. Dhondup Dorjee at
ANEC Office for lunch and meeting with Executive Director to
discuss possibilities of conducting ANEC Pilot Project for the Suja
School at Bir this coming winter.
 ANEC Executive Director and Trainer Lobsang Tenzin met with
Director and Principal of TTS regarding ANEC Pilot Project for the
TTS during the coming winter vacation.
 ANEC Trainer lobsang Tenzin met with Sambohta Director
regarding ANEC Pilot Project for TTS as desired by the Gendlers.
 Met various people including Hotel Managers Bank Managers and
other solicitors for Advertisement for ANEC 5th
News letter.
 ANEC Executive Director met with ANEC Governing Board
Chairman Former Kalon Tripa Mr. Sonam Topgyal to brief him on
ANEC activities.
 Continued hectic preparation and rehearsal for ANEC special week
long workshop for University of Alabama in May, 2012 at the ANEC
office.
MAY, 2012
 ANEC Executive Director and staff Distributed ANEC 5th

copies to various places in Dharamsala and outside.
 ANEC conducted week long special workshop for University of
Alabama from 21st

May, 2012.
 Worked on production of revised copy of Gendlers' Brochure on
"Universal Nonviolence Training".
 Series of Meetings and brainstorming with Sharyn Jones and students
from University of Alabama for future collaboration between ANEC
and UAB.
 ANEC completed re-edition of Mussoorrie Pilot Project with Mr.
Pema, Former DIIR video editor.
JUNE, 2012
 Regarding urgent need of ANEC volunteers, especially Ad-hoch
Project Officer.
 ANEC Executive Director and Trainer Lobsang Tenzin visited
Nyimon computer Center regarding Mussorrie THF Pilot Project
DVD cover.
 Orientation for website and Newsletter formatting by ANEC Trainer
Lobsang Tenzin to Trainer Tenzin Dasel.

 ANEC distributed 5th
half yearly Newsletter to all ANEC members,
friends, well wisher and supporters.
 ANEC gave Farewell dinner, Job experienced certificate and special
appreciation gift to outgoing ANEC Trainer Lobsang Tenzin at the
Drumsticks Restaurant in Mcleodganj.
 ANEC Executive Director and Office Secretary cum Accountant
visited ANEC member Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma for his advertisement
in the ANEC 6th
Half yearly Newsletter.
 ANEC Executive Director and Office Secretary cum Accountant
contacted LHA Organization Director and Volunteers Tibet acting
Director to request for volunteers, especially Ad-hoch Project Officer
for ANEC.
 ANEC Executive and Office Secretary cum Accountant ones again
contacted LHA Director to follow-up regarding urgent need Ad-hoch
Project Officer ANEC.
 American Buddhist scholar reverent Geshe Sangpo la form California
visited the ANEC office and had lengthy discussions and
brainstorming with the ANEC Executive Director regarding Peace and
Nonviolence activities.
 Peace and Nonviolence Scholar Dr. Savior from Bangkok along with
Reverent Dhamchoe la from Buddhist School of Dialectics visited
ANEC and had detailed discussions regarding future collaboration
with ANEC on promoting peace and nonviolence.
 Pema Peace Project coordinator Mr. Benedik Urban ( Former upper
TCV student and German National) along with his colleague Mr.
Sangay (also Former TCV students) visited ANEC twice, had
intensive discussions and future planning with ANEC Executive
Director regarding implementation of joint Peace Project:- “ PEMA
PEACE PROJECT” (Gendlers have already been thoroughly updated
on this project
 ANEC Executive Director all ANEC Staff members actively
participated in the special Tibetan Parliament coordinated Peace
Torch Rally from Kotwali Market to Lower TCV along with Indian
Lawyer Mr. Vinay Narayan and all Tibetans residing in Kotwali
Market Area.
 ANEC Accountant submitted to ANEC auditor Chartered Accountant
Mr. Sanjeev Singh Rana all documents relating to ANEC accounts in
Fiscal Year 2011-2012 for important audit purposes.

administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever
necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members
without fail.
AUGUST, 2012
 ANEC Executive Director was invited as Examination Penal
member by the Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy.
Later Mr. Kunga Ngodup, a graduate from M.S University was
appointed as ANEC special volunteer for a period of one month
with the main intention of examining if he could perhaps work as
Ad-hoch Project Officer or Assistant Trainer for ANEC.
 Mr, Benedik Urban along with Mr. Thomas from the United
Kingdom visited ANEC, had working lunch at ANEC and
discussed long term future collaboration with ANEC for promoting
peace and nonviolence.
Mr. Kalsang Chokteng – ANEC Honorary Member from
Switzerland was also present on the occasion.
 ANEC distributed over 1500 copies of ANEC 6th
Half Yearly
Newsletter along with ANEC Volunteer Mr. kunga Ngodup.
 ANEC Executive Director visited LHA Organization, met with
coordinator Ms. Cathy and Mr. Ngawang Rabgyal regarding urgent
need of volunteers, especially Ad-hoch Project Officer for ANEC.
 ANEC continued wide circulation of 6th
Newsletter by posting
copies to all Tibetan Settlements, ANEC friends and well wishers
outside Dharamsala.

necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff

SEPTEMBER, 2012
 ANEC celebrated 5th
founding day with ANEC special friends and
well wishers.
 ANEC made Job vacancy announcement for Assistant Training
Officer in Tibet Times Newspaper (both Newspaper and Website of
Tibet Times) and also in ANEC facebook over three times.
 ANEC Executive Director along with Training Officer and Offcie
Secretary met with the manager of Chonor House for urgent room
booking for Dr. Mary Gendler and Rabbi Everett Gendler.
 ANEC Executive Director and Accountant cum Office Secretary met
with the new lady Principal of Tibetan Transit School Mrs. Youdon
and had detailed discussions regarding ANEC Pilot Training Project
for the TTS along with Gendlers as Chief Resource Persons.
 ANEC Executive Director and Office Secretary again visited the
LHA and Volunteers Tibet Organizations to follow-up regarding
urgent need of volunteers, particularly Ad-hoch Project Officer.
 ANEC Executive Director had many urgent exchanges of mail and
telephonic conversation with Post Graduates from America Ms.
Rahim in Tamil Nadu regarding her offer to work as ANEC Ad-hoch
Project Officer as recommended by Lha Coordinator Ms. Cathy and
Assistant Director Mr. Ngawang Rabgyal ANEC worked really hard
to materialized this proposal by LHA. However, Ms. Rahim finally
could not make it to Dharamsala owing to unavoidable personal
problems because of which she had to suddenly return to America.
 ANEC Executive Director attended the Second Tibetan General
Conference for three day at the Upper TCV School along with over
500 delegates all around the world. During this special second
General Conference ANEC Trainer Tenzin Dasel and Accountant
Tenzin Nyima were able to distribute lot ANEC resource materials to
delegates from different parts of the world by installing a special
ANEC information table at the second General Conference Venue at
the Upper TCV School.
 ANEC Executive Director had lengthy, exclusive interviewed with
Ms. Emily Okado (Japanese National temporally residing in the UK
and research Scholar on peace and nonviolence).
 ANEC Executive Director and Accountant hosted working dinner for
Ms. Cathy – outgoing coordinator of LHA and Ms. Stacy for
America- incoming coordinator LHA at the drumstick Restaurant and
had detailed discussions regarding future cooperation between LHA
and ANEC.

necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members

OCTOBER, 2012
 ANEC Executive Director contacted the Tibetan Parliamentary
Secretary Mr. Topgyal to obtain the Tibetan Second General
Conference Report book plus photographs.
 ANEC Executive Director visited the CTA and met with Mrs. Nangsa
Choedon, Secretary Public Service Commission and Mr. Ngawang
Choedak, Secretary, Department for Religion and Culture to invite
them to the ANEC examination penal for selecting Assistant Trainer
for ANEC.
 Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive
Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and
administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever
necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members
without fail.
 ANEC conducted a day long selection test (Tibetan and English
written test plus in the spot oral interview cum public speaking
audition for five candidates with three members on the examination
penal).
 Ms. Phurbu Dolma, post graduates (Acharya Degree holder from
Central University of Tibetan Studies in Varanasi) topped the list of
the candidates for ANEC Assistant Trainer.
 ANEC Executive Director visited the Norbulingka Institute to meet
with ANEC Governing Board Chairman late Former Kalon Tripa
Sonam Topgyal to discussed important ANEC related issues.
 At the request of the CTA Public Service Commission, ANEC
Executive Director gave a full day long talk on Public Speaking Skills
and Responsibilities of Civil Servants for forty Tibetan Graduates and
Under Graduates at the Sarah Institute for Tibetan Higher Studies.
 ANEC Executive Director met many times with Mr. Palden Samkhar,
Video Section in charge of the Buddhist School of Dialectics at the
Sarah Institute for Higher Tibetan Studies for editing and re-editing
ANEC DVD covering the ANEC Executive Director’s talk on Public
Speaking Skills and Responsibilities of Civil Servants.
 ANEC Executive Director Tenpa C. Samkhar and Training Officer
Ms. Tenzin Dasel facilitated month long intensive training cum
orientation to Ms. Phurbu Dolma, newly appointed ANEC Assistant
Trainer.
 ANEC Executive Director, Accountant and Cashier formulated urgent
Budget Proposal for Pema Peace Project and corresponded with
Benedik and Leif many times in this connection. The Gendlers have
been informed in minute detail on this very important issue.
 ANEC Executive Director facilitated intensive internal rehearsal for
new ANEC Assistant Trainer Ms. Phurbu Dolma along with ANEC
Trainer Ms. Tenzin Dasel.
 ANEC also continued working on the preparation for the 7th
ANEC
Half Yearly Newsletter ANEC Messenger.
NOVEMBER, 2012
 Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive
Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and
administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever
necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members
without fail.
 ANEC Executive Director continued to work along with Mr. Palden
Samkhar on the re-editing of ANEC DVD on Executive Director’s
Sarah Talk on Public Speaking Skills.
 ANEC Executive Director along with ANEC Trainer Ms. Tenzin
Dasel visited the Tibetan Transit School and met with both the
Director and new lady Principle to facilitate the half day ANEC
training session for the TTS on November 17th
, 2012.
 ANEC Executive Director met with the CTA welfare officer Mr.
Sonam Tsering for organizing special ANEC training session for the
staff members of the Welfare Office and camp leaders in Mcleodganj
Area.
 ANEC Executive Director had hour long Telephonic Conversation
with Benedik and Leif regarding implementation and Budget
formulation of the Pema Peace Project.
 ANEC Executive Director along with ANEC Office Secretary met
with new LHA coordinator Ms. Stacy and Mr. Ngawang Rabgyal to
follow- up on the urgent need of Ad-hoch Project Officer for ANEC.
 ANEC Executive Director and Office Secretary went up to
Mcleodganj to put up special ANEC flyers inviting volunteers,
especially fund raising volunteers. On the same day, ANEC Executive
Director and Office Secretary again visited the LHA Organization and
Volunteers Tibet NGO and gave them special ANEC flyers calling for
volunteers.
 ANEC Executive Director and Accountant met with the Lhakar Tours
and Travels to invite advertisement for ANEC newsletter.
DECEMBER, 2012
 ANEC Executive Director along with Staff members visited Kangra
in connection with video re-editing of ANEC Executive Director’s
talk on Public speaking skills that was tentatively edited by Mr.
Palden Samkhar.
 ANEC Executive Director and Accountant visited the Kangra District
Zonal Court to make legal Affidavit for ANEC Gas connection and
later visited the Gas Agency in Mcleodganj.
 In the meantime ANEC Executive Director, Training Officer and
Accountant spent great deal of time in reformatting Dr. Mary
Gendlers special Report Book. Captioned: “FRUSTRATED ON THE
PATH TO NONVIOLENCE” and also visited the Indian Printers a
couple of time in connection revised quotation for printing the Report
Book.
 ANEC sent Merry Christmas and Happy New Year greetings card to
Gendlers, Tibet Fund, AJ Muste and other important ANEC
Supporters, friends and well wishers.
 ANEC sent special registered Air Mail parcel containing special
Christmas greetings and token thanks giving gifts to Dr. Mary
Gendler and Rabbi Everett Gendler, Principal ANEC Supporters cum
Chief Resource Persons.
 Mr. Palden Samkhar visited the ANEC Office to offer day long
honorary service to ANEC in installing window 7 versions for ANEC
computers and other necessary repair work for ANEC Computers.
 ANEC Executive Director attended the CTA Official function for
observation of Nobel Peace Award Day and World Human Rights
Day at the main Temple.
 Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive
Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and
administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever
necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members
without fail.
 As per introductory and recommendation letter sent by the Executive
Director to the President of the Bhopal Tibetan Sweater Sellers
Association, ANEC Assistant Trainer Ms. Phurbu Dolma was given
the opportunity to give a short talk on nonviolence to the special
gathering in Bhopal to celebrate the Nobel Peace Award plus + World
Human Rights Day in Bhopal on December 10th
, 2012. Present on the
occasion were few important Indian dignitaries too and the program
was formally included on the day’s program sheet.
 ANEC Executive Directed visited the CTA and met with Mr.
Choeying, Head of the DIIR Audio Visual Section to seek his
recommendation and suggestion for the correct type of DVD Projector
as desired by the Gendlers.
 The ANEC Executive Director, with the objective of further
upgrading and improving the efficiency of the ANEC staff members,
reformulated and thoroughly revised the ANEC staff job distribution
and stipulated a well revised set of Job Distribution Guidance for all
four ANEC staff including the office House Keeper cum cook.
 The Executive Director and Trainer Tenzin Dasel have been spending
maximum amount of time on reformatting and other necessary urgent
tasks relating to Mary’s Report Book captioned : ‘ Frustrated on the
path to Nonviolence’

Anec's 2012 annual report

  • 1. ANEC's 2012 Annual Report JANUARY, 2012  ANEC Executive Director Tenpa C. Samkhar had meeting and discussions with Dr. Mary Gendler and Rabbi Everett Gendler before they left Mussorrie on January 1st , 2012.  ANEC Executive Director spent two additional days at the Tibetan Homes Foundation in Mussorrie for necessary winding up tasks such as video re-editing, clearing official expenses bills, thanking concerned officials at the Tibetan Homes Foundation in Mussoorie.  ANEC Executive Director did public outreaching and information dissemination while in Dehradhun.  ANEC Executive Director Tenpa C. Samkhar met with Tibet supporter and singer cum song writer Mr. Joe Hamilton from Germany and exchanged information and materials on Tibet related issues.  In active collaboration with the Tibetan Homes Foundation in Mussoorie, ANEC edited a video coverage of the ANEC Pilot Training Program for the Tibetan Homes Foundation in Mussoorie.  ANEC Accountant cum Office Secretary Tenzin Nyima prepared and submitted to Executive Director Activities report during the period of the ANEC Pilot Project implementation in Mussoorie.

FEBRUARY, 2012  ANEC Executive Director sent Mussoorie Pilot Project Report to Gendlers.  ANEC Executive Director meeting with ANEC Former Staff Mrs. Nyernga who invited Executive Director for dinner at the Tibet Kitchen and donated Rs.2000/- to ANEC from her personal side.  ANEC Executive Director and staff spent lot of time on making printing format for Mary's Workshop Report book and also worked on formatting Gendlers' revised Brochure on " Universal Nonviolence Training"  ANEC Issued Urgent Press Release on Self Immolations inside Tibet and on nonviolent strategies to be implemented inside Tibet.  Maya from Emory University had an hour long interview with ANEC Executive Director on ANEC and activities.  Every Monday meeting for weekly planning, policy and administration. MARCH, 2012  ANEC Executive Director and staff spent lot of time on preparing 5th ANEC News letter.  ANEC appointed new Ad-hoc Project Officer Mr. Yusuf Naik  Former ANEC volunteer Sweta Penemetsa and husband once again volunteer for ANEC for two days on important documentation work.
  • 3.  ANEC Executive Director interviewed by Natalie and Megan from America.  Intensive preparation and rehearsal for week long ANEC workshop for Professor and students from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  ANEC received nomination letter from All India Achievers Foundation for special merit Award at the all India national level.  ANEC Executive Director hired Mr. Pema, Former DIIR video photographer for re-editing Mussoorie ANEC pilot Project video film as desired by the Gendlers'.  Hong Kong based freelance Journalist cum Tibet supporter Nancy Nash invited ANEC Executive Director for lunch and meeting at the Japanese Restaurant at the Guchusum organization.  ANEC Executive Director in the capacity Former CTA General Secretary was invited by Kalon Tripa Dr. Lobsang Sangay for day long meeting of the Kashag, Former Kalons' and Former CTA Secretaries to discuss the urgent situation inside Tibet and future course of action from the side of the CTA.  ANEC Executive Director Tenpa C. Samkhar attended special official mourning ceremony at the main temple organized by CTA and TYC CENTREX in memory of Pawo Jamphel Yeshi who committed self immolation for the Tibetan cause in Delhi.  ANEC received a complimentary letter from Ms. Nancy Nash.  Three day ANEC special workshop at Sahara Institute of higher Tibetan studies for Tibetan teacher trainees at the invitation of DOE of CTA.
  • 4. APRIL, 2012  ANEC Executive Director invited the Director of Volunteers Tibet to the ANEC Office for lunch and meeting regarding coordination and collaboration between the two Organisations.  ANEC Executive Director met with Mr. Yonten Gyatso and Ngawang Woebhar la ANEC Governing Board Member regarding ANEC activities.  Invited ANEC Governing Board member Mr. Dhondup Dorjee at ANEC Office for lunch and meeting with Executive Director to discuss possibilities of conducting ANEC Pilot Project for the Suja School at Bir this coming winter.  ANEC Executive Director and Trainer Lobsang Tenzin met with Director and Principal of TTS regarding ANEC Pilot Project for the TTS during the coming winter vacation.  ANEC Trainer lobsang Tenzin met with Sambohta Director regarding ANEC Pilot Project for TTS as desired by the Gendlers.  Met various people including Hotel Managers Bank Managers and other solicitors for Advertisement for ANEC 5th News letter.  ANEC Executive Director met with ANEC Governing Board Chairman Former Kalon Tripa Mr. Sonam Topgyal to brief him on ANEC activities.  Continued hectic preparation and rehearsal for ANEC special week long workshop for University of Alabama in May, 2012 at the ANEC office.

MAY, 2012  ANEC Executive Director and staff Distributed ANEC 5th News letter copies to various places in Dharamsala and outside.  ANEC conducted week long special workshop for University of Alabama from 21st May to 28th May, 2012.  Worked on production of revised copy of Gendlers' Brochure on "Universal Nonviolence Training".  Series of Meetings and brainstorming with Sharyn Jones and students from University of Alabama for future collaboration between ANEC and UAB.  ANEC completed re-edition of Mussoorrie Pilot Project with Mr. Pema, Former DIIR video editor. JUNE, 2012  Regarding urgent need of ANEC volunteers, especially Ad-hoch Project Officer.  ANEC Executive Director and Trainer Lobsang Tenzin visited Nyimon computer Center regarding Mussorrie THF Pilot Project DVD cover.  Orientation for website and Newsletter formatting by ANEC Trainer Lobsang Tenzin to Trainer Tenzin Dasel.  Video Re-editing by Mr. Pema Tashi of ANEC DVD Film on Mussorrie THF Pilot Project.
  • 6.  Mary’s Report book reformatting with Imperial Printers by Executive Director and Trainer Tenzin Dasel. .  Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members without fail. JULY, 2012  ANEC distributed 5th half yearly Newsletter to all ANEC members, friends, well wisher and supporters.  ANEC gave Farewell dinner, Job experienced certificate and special appreciation gift to outgoing ANEC Trainer Lobsang Tenzin at the Drumsticks Restaurant in Mcleodganj.  ANEC Executive Director and Office Secretary cum Accountant visited ANEC member Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma for his advertisement in the ANEC 6th Half yearly Newsletter.  ANEC Executive Director and Office Secretary cum Accountant contacted LHA Organization Director and Volunteers Tibet acting Director to request for volunteers, especially Ad-hoch Project Officer for ANEC.  ANEC Executive and Office Secretary cum Accountant ones again contacted LHA Director to follow-up regarding urgent need Ad-hoch Project Officer ANEC.  American Buddhist scholar reverent Geshe Sangpo la form California visited the ANEC office and had lengthy discussions and
  • 7. brainstorming with the ANEC Executive Director regarding Peace and Nonviolence activities.  Peace and Nonviolence Scholar Dr. Savior from Bangkok along with Reverent Dhamchoe la from Buddhist School of Dialectics visited ANEC and had detailed discussions regarding future collaboration with ANEC on promoting peace and nonviolence.  Pema Peace Project coordinator Mr. Benedik Urban ( Former upper TCV student and German National) along with his colleague Mr. Sangay (also Former TCV students) visited ANEC twice, had intensive discussions and future planning with ANEC Executive Director regarding implementation of joint Peace Project:- “ PEMA PEACE PROJECT” (Gendlers have already been thoroughly updated on this project  ANEC Executive Director all ANEC Staff members actively participated in the special Tibetan Parliament coordinated Peace Torch Rally from Kotwali Market to Lower TCV along with Indian Lawyer Mr. Vinay Narayan and all Tibetans residing in Kotwali Market Area.  ANEC Accountant submitted to ANEC auditor Chartered Accountant Mr. Sanjeev Singh Rana all documents relating to ANEC accounts in Fiscal Year 2011-2012 for important audit purposes.  Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members without fail.
  • 8. AUGUST, 2012  ANEC Executive Director was invited as Examination Penal member by the Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy. Later Mr. Kunga Ngodup, a graduate from M.S University was appointed as ANEC special volunteer for a period of one month with the main intention of examining if he could perhaps work as Ad-hoch Project Officer or Assistant Trainer for ANEC.  Mr, Benedik Urban along with Mr. Thomas from the United Kingdom visited ANEC, had working lunch at ANEC and discussed long term future collaboration with ANEC for promoting peace and nonviolence. Mr. Kalsang Chokteng – ANEC Honorary Member from Switzerland was also present on the occasion.  ANEC distributed over 1500 copies of ANEC 6th Half Yearly Newsletter along with ANEC Volunteer Mr. kunga Ngodup.  ANEC Executive Director visited LHA Organization, met with coordinator Ms. Cathy and Mr. Ngawang Rabgyal regarding urgent need of volunteers, especially Ad-hoch Project Officer for ANEC.  ANEC continued wide circulation of 6th Newsletter by posting copies to all Tibetan Settlements, ANEC friends and well wishers outside Dharamsala.  Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members without fail.

SEPTEMBER, 2012  ANEC celebrated 5th founding day with ANEC special friends and well wishers.  ANEC made Job vacancy announcement for Assistant Training Officer in Tibet Times Newspaper (both Newspaper and Website of Tibet Times) and also in ANEC facebook over three times.  ANEC Executive Director along with Training Officer and Offcie Secretary met with the manager of Chonor House for urgent room booking for Dr. Mary Gendler and Rabbi Everett Gendler.  ANEC Executive Director and Accountant cum Office Secretary met with the new lady Principal of Tibetan Transit School Mrs. Youdon and had detailed discussions regarding ANEC Pilot Training Project for the TTS along with Gendlers as Chief Resource Persons.  ANEC Executive Director and Office Secretary again visited the LHA and Volunteers Tibet Organizations to follow-up regarding urgent need of volunteers, particularly Ad-hoch Project Officer.  ANEC Executive Director had many urgent exchanges of mail and telephonic conversation with Post Graduates from America Ms. Rahim in Tamil Nadu regarding her offer to work as ANEC Ad-hoch Project Officer as recommended by Lha Coordinator Ms. Cathy and Assistant Director Mr. Ngawang Rabgyal ANEC worked really hard to materialized this proposal by LHA. However, Ms. Rahim finally could not make it to Dharamsala owing to unavoidable personal problems because of which she had to suddenly return to America.  ANEC Executive Director attended the Second Tibetan General Conference for three day at the Upper TCV School along with over 500 delegates all around the world. During this special second

General Conference ANEC Trainer Tenzin Dasel and Accountant Tenzin Nyima were able to distribute lot ANEC resource materials to delegates from different parts of the world by installing a special ANEC information table at the second General Conference Venue at the Upper TCV School.  ANEC Executive Director had lengthy, exclusive interviewed with Ms. Emily Okado (Japanese National temporally residing in the UK and research Scholar on peace and nonviolence).  ANEC Executive Director and Accountant hosted working dinner for Ms. Cathy – outgoing coordinator of LHA and Ms. Stacy for America- incoming coordinator LHA at the drumstick Restaurant and had detailed discussions regarding future cooperation between LHA and ANEC.  Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members without fail. OCTOBER, 2012  ANEC Executive Director contacted the Tibetan Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Topgyal to obtain the Tibetan Second General Conference Report book plus photographs.  ANEC Executive Director visited the CTA and met with Mrs. Nangsa Choedon, Secretary Public Service Commission and Mr. Ngawang Choedak, Secretary, Department for Religion and Culture to invite them to the ANEC examination penal for selecting Assistant Trainer for ANEC.
  • 11.  Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members without fail.  ANEC conducted a day long selection test (Tibetan and English written test plus in the spot oral interview cum public speaking audition for five candidates with three members on the examination penal).  Ms. Phurbu Dolma, post graduates (Acharya Degree holder from Central University of Tibetan Studies in Varanasi) topped the list of the candidates for ANEC Assistant Trainer.  ANEC Executive Director visited the Norbulingka Institute to meet with ANEC Governing Board Chairman late Former Kalon Tripa Sonam Topgyal to discussed important ANEC related issues.  At the request of the CTA Public Service Commission, ANEC Executive Director gave a full day long talk on Public Speaking Skills and Responsibilities of Civil Servants for forty Tibetan Graduates and Under Graduates at the Sarah Institute for Tibetan Higher Studies.  ANEC Executive Director met many times with Mr. Palden Samkhar, Video Section in charge of the Buddhist School of Dialectics at the Sarah Institute for Higher Tibetan Studies for editing and re-editing ANEC DVD covering the ANEC Executive Director’s talk on Public Speaking Skills and Responsibilities of Civil Servants.  ANEC Executive Director Tenpa C. Samkhar and Training Officer Ms. Tenzin Dasel facilitated month long intensive training cum orientation to Ms. Phurbu Dolma, newly appointed ANEC Assistant Trainer.
  • 12.  ANEC Executive Director, Accountant and Cashier formulated urgent Budget Proposal for Pema Peace Project and corresponded with Benedik and Leif many times in this connection. The Gendlers have been informed in minute detail on this very important issue.  ANEC Executive Director facilitated intensive internal rehearsal for new ANEC Assistant Trainer Ms. Phurbu Dolma along with ANEC Trainer Ms. Tenzin Dasel.  ANEC also continued working on the preparation for the 7th ANEC Half Yearly Newsletter ANEC Messenger. NOVEMBER, 2012  Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members without fail.  ANEC Executive Director continued to work along with Mr. Palden Samkhar on the re-editing of ANEC DVD on Executive Director’s Sarah Talk on Public Speaking Skills.  ANEC Executive Director along with ANEC Trainer Ms. Tenzin Dasel visited the Tibetan Transit School and met with both the Director and new lady Principle to facilitate the half day ANEC training session for the TTS on November 17th , 2012.  ANEC Executive Director met with the CTA welfare officer Mr. Sonam Tsering for organizing special ANEC training session for the staff members of the Welfare Office and camp leaders in Mcleodganj Area.
  • 13.  ANEC Executive Director had hour long Telephonic Conversation with Benedik and Leif regarding implementation and Budget formulation of the Pema Peace Project.  ANEC Executive Director along with ANEC Office Secretary met with new LHA coordinator Ms. Stacy and Mr. Ngawang Rabgyal to follow- up on the urgent need of Ad-hoch Project Officer for ANEC.  ANEC Executive Director and Office Secretary went up to Mcleodganj to put up special ANEC flyers inviting volunteers, especially fund raising volunteers. On the same day, ANEC Executive Director and Office Secretary again visited the LHA Organization and Volunteers Tibet NGO and gave them special ANEC flyers calling for volunteers.  ANEC Executive Director and Accountant met with the Lhakar Tours and Travels to invite advertisement for ANEC newsletter. DECEMBER, 2012  ANEC Executive Director along with Staff members visited Kangra in connection with video re-editing of ANEC Executive Director’s talk on Public speaking skills that was tentatively edited by Mr. Palden Samkhar.  ANEC Executive Director and Accountant visited the Kangra District Zonal Court to make legal Affidavit for ANEC Gas connection and later visited the Gas Agency in Mcleodganj.  In the meantime ANEC Executive Director, Training Officer and Accountant spent great deal of time in reformatting Dr. Mary Gendlers special Report Book.   • 14. couple of time in connection revised quotation for printing the Report Book.  ANEC sent Merry Christmas and Happy New Year greetings card to Gendlers, Tibet Fund, AJ Muste and other important ANEC Supporters, friends and well wishers.  ANEC sent special registered Air Mail parcel containing special Christmas greetings and token thanks giving gifts to Dr. Mary Gendler and Rabbi Everett Gendler, Principal ANEC Supporters cum Chief Resource Persons.  Mr. Palden Samkhar visited the ANEC Office to offer day long honorary service to ANEC in installing window 7 versions for ANEC computers and other necessary repair work for ANEC Computers.  ANEC Executive Director attended the CTA Official function for observation of Nobel Peace Award Day and World Human Rights Day at the main Temple.  Every Monday meetings presided over by the ANEC Executive Director for weekly staff work guidance, planning, policy and administration plus additional emergency meetings whenever necessary have been always conducted with the ANEC Staff members without fail.  As per introductory and recommendation letter sent by the Executive Director to the President of the Bhopal Tibetan Sweater Sellers Association, ANEC Assistant Trainer Ms. Phurbu Dolma was given the opportunity to give a short talk on nonviolence to the special gathering in Bhopal to celebrate the Nobel Peace Award plus + World Human Rights Day in Bhopal on December 10th , 2012.   • 15. occasion were few important Indian dignitaries too and the program was formally included on the day’s program sheet.  ANEC Executive Directed visited the CTA and met with Mr. Choeying, Head of the DIIR Audio Visual Section to seek his recommendation and suggestion for the correct type of DVD Projector as desired by the Gendlers.  The ANEC Executive Director, with the objective of further upgrading and improving the efficiency of the ANEC staff members, reformulated and thoroughly revised the ANEC staff job distribution and stipulated a well revised set of Job Distribution Guidance for all four ANEC staff including the office House Keeper cum cook.  The Executive Director and Trainer Tenzin Dasel have been spending maximum amount of time on reformatting and other necessary urgent tasks relating to Mary’s Report Book captioned : ‘ Frustrated on the path to Nonviolence’
