To Whom It May Concern:
I’m pleased to provide a recommendation for Andy Park. I’ve known him since 2011. He is a
member of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity, and I’ve been the advisor that the fraternity for a number of
years.
Andy is very driven and motivated to achieve his goals, more so than most if not all fraternity
members in the past ten years. In ZBT, he held a number of positions, and his goal was always to
move the organization forward to do new things. As brotherhood development director, he
implemented significantly improved programming for the undergraduate members of the
fraternity. He also served as internal vice president and house manager, and in each of these
positions, he substantially improved the expectations and processes associated with each
position. For instance, he created a new academic system to hold members accountable and
provide them assistance when needed.
Finally, he served as president of the fraternity this past year. I worked with him closely in this
position. Frankly, the fraternity had not been doing well in terms of recruitment and retention.
Andy redesigned many of the processes and positions, and he revitalized the summer
recruitment process. We met weekly as a group, and I remember that he was always prepared
with the summary of everything that had been done in the previous week, typically fulfilling all
tasks assigned the prior week. More importantly, he engaged a number of key members to be
involved and motivated them to do things that they had not done in the past. As a result, we had
a much more successful recruitment than in many years.
Underlying his efforts in all these positions has been a real vision of what the fraternity should
mean to its members in terms of education, skills and leadership development, and life-long
networking and friendship.
Of course, Andy was involved in a number of other campus organizations during this time. He
also identified a need at Georgia Tech that was not being fulfilled. Georgia Tech has a rec area
with pool tables in the Student Center, but no active billiards club. So he formed one and
engaged students to be involved and compete with other clubs.

Andy was quite successful in balancing his academics and his organizational involvement with
excellent time management. I could always count on him to handle issues by the required
deadline and to bring any problems to my attention that I needed to address. He also did a
number of co-op semesters and was equally able to balance his work commitments with
organizational ones.
In summary, Andy is innovative and entrepreneurial, and he has the time management skills to
take these drives and make them successful in terms of improved and new organizations to
deliver value to members and customers. I give him my highest recommendation. Please feel
