Why You Should Replace Windows 11 with Nitrux Linux 3.5.0 for enhanced perfor...SOFTTECHHUB
The choice of an operating system plays a pivotal role in shaping our computing experience. For decades, Microsoft's Windows has dominated the market, offering a familiar and widely adopted platform for personal and professional use. However, as technological advancements continue to push the boundaries of innovation, alternative operating systems have emerged, challenging the status quo and offering users a fresh perspective on computing.
One such alternative that has garnered significant attention and acclaim is Nitrux Linux 3.5.0, a sleek, powerful, and user-friendly Linux distribution that promises to redefine the way we interact with our devices. With its focus on performance, security, and customization, Nitrux Linux presents a compelling case for those seeking to break free from the constraints of proprietary software and embrace the freedom and flexibility of open-source computing.
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:

2. Introduction
• Android is a platform and operating system for mobile
devices based on the Linux operating system and developed
Google Inc. and Open Handset Alliance (O.H.A).
• Android 3.0 is a new version of the Android platform.
• It also known as Honey Comb.
3. Need for Mobile O.S.
To break a barrier that stands between a mobile and a computer, Mobile
Operating Systems are developed.
What is an Mobile O.S?
A mobile O.S is an operating system that controls mobile devices or any
other handheld devices.
Typical types of handheld devices that works on mobile o.s. are smart
phones, PDA’s, tablet pc’s and other information appliances.
4. Varieties of Mobile O.S.
• Symbian series
• Apple’s MAC O.S.
• Window mobile
• Android.
• Palm, Linux, RIM/Blackberry
5. Why Android?
• Android O.S. is based on Linux kernel.
• Android is an O.S. which overcomes
with the drawbacks of all other mobile
o.s. and is packed with excellent new
features.
• It is an efficient.
• It has an advanced UI which makes the
device touch friendly technology as in
Sci-Fi films.
6. Versions of Android
• Android 1.0 developed on 23rd sep 2008 was the first Android.
•Android 1.1 an update of version1.0 was released for T-Mobile G1
on 9 Feb 2009.
• With several new features and UI updates Android 1.5 (Cupcake)
was released on 30 April 2009 based on Linux kernel 2.6.27.
• After a few months gap 1.6 (Donut) was introduced which was
based on Linux kernel 2.6.29
• Within a short interval of time both 2.0 and 2.1 (Éclair) was
released with new features and based on same kernel.
7. • On 20 May 2010, version 2.2 (Froyo) based on Linux kernel 2.6.32 was
released with some more new features.
• On 6th Dec 2010, Android version 2.3 (Gingerbread) was introduced
which was based on Linux kernel 2.6.35
• Finally on 26 Jan 2011, Android’s latest version 3.0 called Honey Comb
was introduced with its best features provided till now.
8. Android 3.0: Honey Comb
• Android 3.0 is the latest version of Android platform.
• Android 3.0 is specifically optimized for larger screens
such as Tablet PC’s.
• It introduces a brand new, truly virtual and “holographic”
UI design, as well as an elegant, content-focused interaction
model.
10. The Android O.S. system architecture is divided into five
different layers such as:
1). Linux Kernel
2). Libraries
3). Android RunTime
4). Application FrameWork
5). Applications
The basic structure of system architecture is shown in the fig.
above
11. Application Lifecycle
• In Android, every application runs in its own process, which gives
better performance in security, protected memory.
The application life cycle of a process is shown in figs. shown below
16. Features of Android 3.0
• All new interface
• New and improved widgets
• Enhanced task switching
• Improved notifications
• Full screen video calling with Google-Talk
• Better browser
• No physical buttons required
• Enhanced applications
• Higher octane games
• Made for reading
• Support for multi-core processors
17. Applications & Uses
• Android 3.0 is made with a purpose of supporting large
screen hand-held devices.
• Motorola XOOM is the first Android 3.0: Honey Comb
controlled tablet pc
• Motorola Xoom has a Dual Core processor and a 10.1” HD
display.
18. • Android is taking a step further in the field of creating O.S’s.
• Android will soon come up with its latest Android named as Ice-
cream Sandwich.
•Ice cream Sandwich will be launched soon within mid of 2011
