Dear Hiring Manager,
My name is Andrew Ruda. I have been working for the last 4 years for a tech start-up that offers
a specialized CRM tool to clients for the purpose of managing their website and online
presence. The company has grown 400% percent since I started with them. We have become a
one stop shop for all Digital Marketing needs. I have seen the company develop into
departments and then my department into teams. Starting with only Myself and another two
employees working directly with clients maintaining and developing the products support
department, I have become the Team Lead over the Senior (Second Tier) Support Team and have
trained every person in my department as well as Team Leads for the Support (First Tier)
Team. I manage 4 Senior Agents and 10 Support Agents. I work directly with other managers
and team leads to continually develop our core product. On top of my tasks as support
management, I am project manager for all projects that come through our department, and work
closely with other departments on progressing projects for the whole lifecycle, initiation to
release. Another specialized capacity I perform in is that of DNS and Web Server
Administration. We have just under 2k Clients, just over 2k sites, and almost 4k domains. I
create/edit records on our name servers, transfer domains between registrars, and work with
registrars and resellers for troubleshooting site resolution issues. I launch websites by creating
site folders and the correlating Website Instances on Server Management Software (IIS,
Windows Server). In supplement to these tasks I also assist in managing our growing database
(SQLServer). The last major role I perform is that of Email Server Administrator. I troubleshoot
email issues, manage global user settings, and work with virus related, throttling issues.
Finally I am one of only a couple employees that works remotely for my company. I am trusted
to stay on task, and I don’t disappoint. I worked in office for 2 years and remotely for 2 years. I
am able to manage in either scenario with equal effectiveness.
Between all of these tasks, I have a very advanced, well-rounded IT/Web Support skill-set. I
have amazing people skills and not only know how to motivate people, but train them as well. I
know I would make a valuable asset to your team.
