RESEARCH & PLANNING…
Student name:
Joel
Luke
Louise
James
Mark:
14/20
19/20
12/20
19/20
Comments:
Has included some detailed
research and planning,
however some areas such
as conventions, lack detail.
Excellent planning
throughout all tasks,
however some research
areas lack detail.
Lacks detail in conventions as
well as several other tasks,
however she had a set plan on
what she wanted to do.
Excellent detail and
understanding throughout, and
was kept consistant throughout
blog.
Mark given:
15/20
19/20
12/20
20/20
CONSTRUCTION- JOEL
Mark:
43/60
Comments:
Jump shots in areas, low
level lighting effective in
some scenes however in
others, made the shot bad
quality. The use of the
editing and freeze frames to
introduce characters very
effective and eye catching.
Given mark:
39/60
CONSTRUCTION – LUKE
Mark:
36/60
Comments:
Some nice shot types
showing mise en scene,
relative music, however
the chosen shot types
became repetitive.
Could’ve used low lever
lighting to relate more to
the genre.
Given mark:
52/60
CONSTRUCTION – LOUISE
Mark:
25/60
Comments:
Not all shots were in
frame, or in focus,
making it look poor
and bad quality.
Lighting in some
areas was over
exposed, story line
was unclear.
Given mark:
35/60
CONSTRUCTION - JAMES
Mark:
47/60
Comments:
Good use of voiceover.
Time lapse at the
beginning very creative
and original. Nice use of
editing when introducing
characters. However the
fight scene was bad
framing and bad quality
sound.
Given mark:
50/60
CONCLUSION…
From analysing previous students work and using the marking criteria , I can now
understand what elements I need to include and what not to include to reach the
top marks.
For example some students work included jump shots which I will aim to avoid
and the use of low level lighting can sometimes reduce the quality of your shots.
However by analysing previous constructions, it has given me an insight on the
effective titles and music that can be used as I like the use of Joel’s freeze frame
and posterized titles when introducing the characters.
I also learnt that it is essential to ensure your final construction has a clear story
line, and relates to your chosen sub genre, including mise en scene and location.
