  • 5. OBJECTIVE Raise public awareness to the impact of domestic violence on children who are victims of or who are witnesses to domestic violence. To stimulate discussion and raise public awareness of the impact (short and long term) of domestic violence on children. Allowing children and parents to understand the complexity of domestic violence and how it affects them and others, in short and long term. Building coping skills For individual transformative change To contribute to ending violence against children.

  2. In Zimbabwe, there is a growing wave of media-instigated violence. In many instances, the local media is biased and embedded with the state. Journalists especially during election times are used for propaganda purposes and instead of revealing truths, they cover up information needed by the public, thus restricting the people’s freedom and right to information.
  3. Objectives To equip practicing journalists and students with the right aptitude and attitude to report on peace on the continent. To inculcate a sense of responsibility in how reporters handle disagreements in political contestations and competing ideologies in various national contexts.
