us…. it’s what we do. Constantly striving to stay at the
forefront of this fast-growing technology has resulted in a
full staff dedicated to the science of LMD. This expertise
ranges from metallurgical sample evaluations to custom
LMD equipment designs.
Helping you through feasibility, qualification, serial
production and up to onsite vertical integration is our daily
routine.
With annual powder deposition amounts now exceeding
32 tons, we’ve learned how to help you stay successful.
We currently offer 24 hour/day LMD work cells whose part
capacity ranges from ounces to multiple tons that are over
40 feet in length.

• Hardfacing overlays: Laser hardfacing applies a harder, tougher
material to a base metal to improve wear performance and
extend service life.
• Corrosion resistant overlays: A thick layer (3 mm or 1/8 in.) of
coating is applied to the surface of equipment to provide a
corrosion- and erosion-resistant surface.
• Original material restoration: Laser metal deposition can be
used to restore the original dimensions of a component for
parts that are expensive to replace or are no longer available.

• Boss / profile buildups: Using laser metal deposition, we can
build up rough profiles (up to 3.5” thick) that can be machined
to final dimensions.
• Component repairs: Our processes can repair expensive
components damaged through mis-machining, saving the cost
of manufacturing a new part.
• Internal Diameter (ID) Cladding: ID cladding applies corrosion
and wear-resistant coatings to the internal surfaces of tubes,
pipes and other hard-to-reach places.
• R&D / feasibility studies: Our in-house laboratory provides an
array of testing and consulting services, including applications
lab day. Customers can spend a day on-site working with our
engineers and technicians during the development phase of
their project.
