Ambralight lamps have been tested by OSRAM (Germany):
Thermal evaluation of our internally designed aluminum profile,
to assess the life expectancy of their LEDs mounted on our lamps.
RESULT: over 80% of light flow
after operating more than 100,000 hours.

 resistant to moisture, temperature fluctuations and dust.

The light is emitted inside the visible light spectrum in the photosynthetically
active region, and it enhances and optimizes the growth of plants.
Custom spectrum options to cover the professional requirements of
 several types of plants
 in different growth stages,
for horticulture, floriculture or indoor gardening requirements.
 Osram LEDs
 internally designed anodized aluminum heat sink
 XT plexiglass with high transparency and immune to UV rays (doesn't
become yellow during life time)
 sealing system in die-cut foam EPDM
 and use only stainless steel external screws.
During the production process, our lamps are tested during each assembly
stage and also with infrared camera as a final test before packaging.

LED LIGHTING FOR OPTIMAL PLANT GROWTH
Light is essential for plants:
it has a major influence on their growth and well-being.
The most powerful and cheapest source of light is the sun, BUT:
natural sunlight is not always and not everywhere available.
sometimes it needs to be
 supplemented
 or replaced
by artificial light that mimics it.
What kind of light do plants need and like?
Right light spectrum
animals and humans like green and yellow wavelengths
plants prefer blue and red ones, depending on their growth phase:
Blue spectrum light promotes vegetative growth,
red spectrum light promotes flower onset and production.
Right light intensity
(photon flux, i.e. units of micromoles per square meter per second)
For example:
Sprouts: 1-2 moles per day
Basil: at least 10-12 moles per day
Algae: over 15-20 moles per day
Cucumber: over 15-20 moles per day
Tomatoes: at least 30 moles per day
Cannabis: over 40 moles per day
Why LED lighting for growing plants?
During autumn and wintertime: too little light
Too much or the wrong kind of light:
 Enormous amounts of energy wasted in greenhouses
 stress and damage to the plants
Compared to standard HID (high intensity discharge) or HPS (high pressure
sodium) lamps,
LED lighting systems are the best and most efficient option for indoor farming.
Optimal levels of Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR): photons that
enhance growth and yield without wasting energy.
Significant increase in crop production.
How can you evaluate a professional LED lighting system?
 LIGHT SPECTRUM (emitted light wavelength)
 The ideal spectrum can change according to the plant and to the growth
phase of the plant.
 LIGHT DISTRIBUTION CHART
 This is how light is distributed on the cultivated surface, as the lighting
system should allow plants to receive light homogeneously

  • 4. LEDs manufactured by OSRAM Semiconductors: developed specifically for this market to ensure high quality and reliability of the product, with a very high efficiency in terms of μmols/J.

  • 6. Ambralight lamps have been tested by OSRAM (Germany): Thermal evaluation of our internally designed aluminum profile, to assess the life expectancy of their LEDs mounted on our lamps. RESULT: over 80% of light flow after operating more than 100,000 hours.

Our LED lamps are designed to:  withstand the harsh and very humid environments of modern production greenhouses ,  sustain a long-term heavy-duty working cycle  resistant to moisture, temperature fluctuations and dust.  highly energy efficient  designed and manufactured in Italy with high quality materials.   • 10. The light is emitted inside the visible light spectrum in the photosynthetically active region, and it enhances and optimizes the growth of plants. Custom spectrum options to cover the professional requirements of  several types of plants  in different growth stages, for horticulture, floriculture or indoor gardening requirements.

During the production process, our lamps are tested during each assembly stage and also with infrared camera as a final test before packaging.

  • 29. LED LIGHTING FOR OPTIMAL PLANT GROWTH Light is essential for plants: it has a major influence on their growth and well-being. The most powerful and cheapest source of light is the sun, BUT: natural sunlight is not always and not everywhere available. sometimes it needs to be  supplemented  or replaced by artificial light that mimics it.

Right light spectrum animals and humans like green and yellow wavelengths plants prefer blue and red ones, depending on their growth phase: Blue spectrum light promotes vegetative growth, red spectrum light promotes flower onset and production. Right light intensity (photon flux, i.e. units of micromoles per square meter per second) For example: Sprouts: 1-2 moles per day Basil: at least 10-12 moles per day Algae: over 15-20 moles per day Cucumber: over 15-20 moles per day Tomatoes: at least 30 moles per day Cannabis: over 40 moles per day

  • 33. Why LED lighting for growing plants? During autumn and wintertime: too little light Too much or the wrong kind of light:  Enormous amounts of energy wasted in greenhouses  stress and damage to the plants Compared to standard HID (high intensity discharge) or HPS (high pressure sodium) lamps, LED lighting systems are the best and most efficient option for indoor farming. Optimal levels of Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR): photons that enhance growth and yield without wasting energy. Significant increase in crop production.

How can you evaluate a professional LED lighting system?  LIGHT SPECTRUM (emitted light wavelength)  The ideal spectrum can change according to the plant and to the growth phase of the plant.  LIGHT DISTRIBUTION CHART  This is how light is distributed on the cultivated surface, as the lighting system should allow plants to receive light homogeneously  LIGHT INTENSITY (overall photon flux)  ELECTRICAL EFFICIENCY (consumption of watt per photon produced)  ENERGY EFFICIENCY energy actually absorbed by plants - PAR  COST AND PAY-BACK PERIOD
