Visual Studio/Wireshark
Role : Technical Leader
Description : SatLink is a broadband satellite networking system optimized for the Internet
Protocol (IP) and compliantwith both the DVB-RCS ("RCS") and DVB-RCS2 ("RCS2") satellite standards. The
SatLink system provides a complete solution for ISPs, private Intranets, and industry-specific networks for
interactive voice, data and/or video over IP. All SatLink networks require one hub system. The hub provides
overall network synchronization and control, and performs network management functions.
Network Control Center (NCC) is a centralized entity terminating the internal management and control in a
part of the satellite network which provides control and monitoring functions. It implements TDMA network in
accord with DVB-RCS2 standard, offering Bandwidth-on-Demand, ACM, and QoS on all carriers, while
delivering efficiency, throughput, scalability and reliability.
Key Deliverables:
 Worked as a Technical Leader for NCC,FLI deliverable item.

and customer issue resolution.
 Successfullybuiltthe environmentsetup such as cross compiled GCC and GDB also builtthe SDK 9.1
for Freescale P4080DS board (Power PC).
 Understand the basics ofSatellite communication domain and its differentcomponents.
 Found out the different registry entry used under NCC componentand suggested to move into NMS to
improve the performance. It was taking more time because oftoo frequentcheck in NCC for registry.

Domain/Languages: Telecom,Application Layer, OAM, C, C++, Data Structure, Shell Scripting
OS/Tools : Linux, RoseRT,GDB, Wireshark,Valgrind, GCov, Quality Centre, DCT,
Code collaborator
Role : Senior Software Engineer
Description : The current situation is that on detection of a single PA failure, the OneBTS
OAM software disables all the other amplifiers paralleled with the failing amplifier. As a result, all the
associated cells sharing the same Tx path are taken out of service. Defense against Power Amplifier Feature
feature provides a mechanism to manage the failed PA and to maintain service - at a reduced level - with the
remaining PA(s).

4. KAPSCH
Duration : July’11 – Jan’12
Team Size : 8
Domain/Languages: Telecom, C, C++, Data Structure, Shell Scripting
OS/Tools : Linux, AIX, GDB, Make, Clearcase,Wireshark,Valgrind,GCov
Role : Senior Software Engineer
Description : The primaryprinciple for BTP-R platform design is to provide an abstraction to applications.
The abstraction hides telecom carrier grade middleware and the underneath OS and hardware specific
functions. It also provides management of TDM and Ethernet interfaces. It keeps parity with legacy
implementation wherever possible.
Each OMU is equipped with a disk which is divided into private and shared partitions. The shared partition
stores the common data of the switch blade such as MIB files, fault logs, APE files, etc. Two OMU mirror the
shared partition for redundancy purpose as these data’s are critical for BTP operations. We call this shared file
system as ‘mirror’.We should manage these disks to be in sync, as the updates between the two OMU shared
partitions are managed by DRBD. The mirror should be periodically supervised for connection errors. The
entire disk is monitored for errors by the smart monitor.
Key Deliverables:
 Worked as a Software Engineer in Design and Software developmentincludes DI (deliverable Item
implementation) and Pronto/CR Support.
 Following Agile methodology
 Involved in writing low level design for Disk Managementand Mirroring.
 Done coding and scripts writing for DRBD (Distributed Replicated Block Device).
 Understand the BaseOS (Disk ManagementModule) and Fault Managementmodule in Control node
platform (CNP).
 Enhancementand optimization ofpresentcode.
5. IT infrastructure (Tesco UK and Tesco CE)

 Was involved in writing Perl and Shell Scripts.
 Wrote automation script for routine hardware and software audits of UNIX servers for compliance with
established standards.
 Was involved in UNIX System Management which includes file system organization, allocation and
maintenance, configuration and installation of storage subsystem, backup/restore strategies,
implementation, and management.
 Suggesting with recommendations to management on changes, upgrades required.
