PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am currently working as a high level studio photographer for Hungry Tiger Studios. Within my role I provide E-commerce
photography for a number of established clients including John Lewis and Marks & Spencer, as well as a number of other well-
known brands. My role is to provide high quality images, working closely to the style guide provided by the client. When there is
no style guide provided, myself and my stylist use our skills and previous experience to photograph the item to the high standard
that is usually produced, maintaining the level of quality of the photography, as well as the client’s style of imagery. I have
photographed many varying products, including designer clothes, jewellery and accessories, toys, large furniture items and home
furnishings.
I have previously spent a large amount of time working exclusively within the John Lewis studio with their creative team,
producing life style imagery with the distinctive John Lewis look. Most recently I have worked exclusively with Marks &
Spencer in their homeware department. Whilst with M and S, I was helping to develop their style of imagery into a modern look,
which they are they are now using across their branding.
Currently I am back shooting in the Hungry Tiger studios photographing lifestyle imagery for various clients including Tesco,
Anthropology, Jacques Vert and Boden. I enjoy all types of photography whether larger items, smaller items or whole room
shots. I embrace new challenges and enjoy being tested with technical lighting problems or creative artistic decisions

EMPLOYMENT
Hungry Tiger, In-house Photographer
Feb 2012-Present
My role within Hungry Tiger is as the in-house studio photographer, providing images to a number of large reputable companies
including Harrods, Marks and Spencers, Littlewoods and John Lewis. As part of my role as photographer I work alongside studio
assistants, stylists and retouches to shoot a range of products. I am responsible to delegate jobs to others and to ensure all
products are photographed to follow the individual company’s style guides. I also consult with clients to give input into how a
new product should be photographed, or how an existing product could be restyled.
Since the start of 2013 I have been representing Hungry Tiger while working permanently within the John Lewis Photography
Studio. During this period I have aided in the relocation of their entire studio, given my input of how the studio can work to
become more efficient, help develop new style guides and too deliver images to a high standard on time
PDQ Images, Print Lab Assistant
May 2011-Feb 2012
2. My role within PDQ was very varied and has given me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge of print production for both
professional photographers and large companies. The main task in my job role is to ensure every client’s photo order is fulfilled,
finished to the highest quality and packed ready for collection. Throughout the printing of each image I look over the images,
checking the colour balance is correct and altering when necessary. I also assist in the production of the much larger products that
are produced. They include mounting on to various materials, constructing display stands and assisting in layouts and graphic
design for pop up stands. Whilst working with PDQ this gave me the opportunity to learn what goes into producing high quality
products quickly and in large volume. The new skills and knowledge I have picked up whilst working at PDQ would support me
in any future role working within either any other printing lab or moving forward into commercial photography. Understanding
how final imaging end products are produced would help me when designing advertising material or photographing products to be
used in a commercial context.
Millets, Shop Assistant
June 2010-Feb 2012
As sales assistant, I was part of a strong team of people working together offering the very best in customer service in this well-
known camping shop. My role on the shop floor was to aid and assist customers with any enquires they may have. Using my
knowledge of the products in store I could suggest the most suitable products but asking questions and listening to their
requirements, exercising my communication skills with both the customers and my work colleagues. I also ensured the shop floor
looked clean and tidy with every product well presented. Other responsibilities included ensuring all stock was neatly and quickly
put away when deliveries arrive and all clothes were hung correctly, ready to be sold. I also helped to assist in changing displays
and remerchandising the shop
Studio Manager, New ID Studios, Watford
May 2009-May 2010
Every one of the skills I had gained through previous photography jobs were put to use in helping to open a brand new and
successful portrait studio. As Studio manager I had to ensure everyone was working to the highest standard and getting the most
out of each individual. I ensured every client was given the best possible customer service and ensured the studio was producing a
high turnover. Within this role I was also working as one the main photographers and viewers at the studio. This also helped to
develop strong communication skills, not only to customers, but also within head office, being involved in discussions and giving
my input for future company development.
Team Member/Photographer, Olan Mills Photography, Stevenage
June 2007- Dec 2008
Within this job role my main responsibility was to produce high quality, contemporary photographic portraits. The clients ranged
from young infants to adults, posing in a variety of different positions. Not only was I responsible for the photo shoots, but also
for editing and most importantly selling the prints. This helped to give me the key skills required for a photography role and also
within editing images. As a more senior member of the team, I also worked closely with colleagues, ensuring that training and
motivation was catered for. I also gained an insight into the business side of running a photography studio. My position at Olan
Mills also required me to take part in marketing the company, which involved working outside the studio environment. I have
gained many skills from this role including how to work and interact with children, establishing the client’s needs, and have
become confident in forging relationships with new clients. A number of my images taken in the studio have been used as
examples in other studios across the country and in nationwide promotional material
