PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Credit management, Credit Risk Analysis , Customers Risk Assessment , Cash Collection and
Dunning Management:
 Calculate and propose adequate credit limits. Follow-up, evaluate and release orders which are
blocked due to exceeded credit limit, overdue outstanding payments, or other ICS blocks for
the Middle East Region in accordance to Group regulations.
 Initiate and maintain a proactive alarming approach to avoid order blocks due to any of the
aforesaid criteria.
 Manage the cash collection process by following-up on accounts receivables directly with
customers in order to ensure a proper dunning process, by analysing requests for payments,
open items and incoming payments and by triggering required actions with business divisions.
Outcome to ensure maintaining healthy DSO results in line with corporate strategy.
 With the support of corresponding departments at headquarters and locally, develop and
maintain a strong and practical risk awareness, compliance and control culture and
environment. Manage all risk dynamics that might hinder smooth continuity of product supply
and contribute in risk assessment activities.
 Manage a periodic revision to payment terms granted to customers heading towards
harmonization and acceleration of cash collection. Realization and control of cost of payment
tools offered by/requested to customers in addition to controlling cost of debt/imputed interest
resulting from overdue outstandings.

 Guarantee that all corporate compliance guidelines and local monetary protocols are met.
Ensure process and internal control changes resulting from new or changing corporate financial
guidelines.
 Implement an efficient dunning process directly with customers associated to proper
coordination with distributors, institutes and financial management at headquarters yielding
into a financially sound and healthy operation and promotes a positive effect on business
relationships.
 Establish a proactive approach to avoid order blocks and work closely with Logistics and
Customer Service Functions to increase the operational speed and decrease complexity and
exceptional cases.
 Maintain all relevant SOPs and ensure sustainability and improvement.
Supply chain management, demand planning and Tender Management:
 Manage the logistics activities for Pharmaceutical and Consumer Care in Egypt Plus region to
ensure steady flow of goods between all BHC Production sites and the region through 3rd party
logistics
 Implement Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) principle with full control of vendor over stock
levels, order quantity and frequency
 Maintain adequate inventory at agents end.
 Optimizing logistics costs with the different supply centers ( Berlin, Leverkusen, Berkeley &
Basel )
 Create service level agreements with supply centers to reflect supply parameters according to
business strategy.
 Oversee the creation and maintenance of distribution agreements including VMI parameters
agreement.
 Improve forecast accuracy through Monthly revision of sales plans, stock levels and supply
status.
 Maintain Stock out reports to measure service levels.
 Manage Tender offerings and contracts through controlling price and volume limits and
negotiating prices and terms, creating and submitting offers and finalizing tender contracts
Order to Cash, Accounts Receivables & Payables and Customer Service Management :
 Processing & review of Credit / Debit notes received from sub-regions resulted from business
agreements
 Customer Monitoring – Overdue tracking & preparation of relevant reports as CRI, FSR…etc.
 Cash collection
 Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to Customer Service & Distribution
Representatives.
 Ensure that all Customer Service & Distribution operations are aligned with applicable Bayer
group Directives, Regulations and/or Guidelines.
 Support improvement of working capital by proactive collection management.
 Ensure punctual settlement of invoices and debit notes of all agents and customers
 Optimize working capital through implementing continually improved Order-To-Cash (OTC)
Processes, stock levels and DSO reduction.
 Support BHC divisions and uses cross-divisional knowledge and experience with key
customers.

Business and Financial Controlling:
 Review planning objectives to ensure that they are reflecting the company strategies for each
Business unit.
 Control the financial planning process based on strategic and quantitative objectives and
figures provided by marketing functions for a three years horizon beyond the current year.
 Monitor the target realization through creating sales reports for different business attributes i.e.
sales volumes, prices, margins and costs and discusses corrective actions in case of deviation
with involved functions.
 P&L reporting, controlling and analysis.
 Ensure the implementation of corporate policies, guidelines and strategies in Logistics,
Planning and Order-To-Cash Management.
