 Medical personnel must be trained to successfully
resuscitate children in extremely stressful and chaotic
environments
 It is challenging to train medical students and other
types of trainees in resuscitative medicine on real live
children
 Currently there are two main types of simulation
being used to train, teach, practice, and test medical
trainees and professionals
