Albert Einstein was a German physicist born in 1879 in Ulm, Germany who developed the theory of relativity and made significant contributions to physics with his works on special relativity, general relativity, Brownian motion, and the photoelectric effect. He was born to parents Hermann Einstein and Pauline Koch and was married twice, having three children. Einstein worked as a theoretical physicist, philosopher of science, inventor, science writer, and university professor in his career. He died in 1955 at the age of 76.
