AL DÍA News Media is launching a new bilingual website, aldianews.com, that will provide national news content in both English and Spanish. The responsive design of the website will optimize content for any device. It will feature defined content categories and a new "Double Take" section. The website and AL DÍA's other platforms aim to drive a new American narrative and engage multiple audiences through award-winning journalism from its Philadelphia headquarters.
2. Technology has been driving AL DÍA News Media from the get-
go. Technology, among other things, has made AL DÍA possible.
At our beginning 20 years ago, we embraced the then-fashionable
“desktop publishing” technology on one of Apple’s first personal
computers to publish our original product, our newspaper. Thanks
to new technology, AL DÍA is about to take another step forward,
impacting dramatically how we will deliver the news to you.
This summer, AL DÍA is launching a brand new website with
a focus on national content. With the click of a button, you will
be able to choose in which language to view the website. For the first
time, all of the online content will be available in both English and
Spanish. Responsive design technology will deliver the high quality
editorial content AL DÍA is known for, optimized to any platform —
be it computer, tablet, or smartphone.
There will be defined categories, including Politics, Business,
Culture, Opinion, Media and Technology, that will allow readers
to tune in to what is most important to them. A new feature called
“Double Take” will incorporate the AL DÍA “twist” on the top news
stories of the day. But don’t think we’ve forgotten our roots!
Philadelphia will have a special section with a team dedicated to
covering the city.
AL DÍA is committed to our readers, and aldianews.com is
another step in our continuous efforts to provide the engaged,
informed, and unapologetic news media coverage that people
can trust. AL DÍA is driven by pure human ingenuity, owned and
operated by professional journalists. These men and women of all
backgrounds are working together around an editorial principle that
remains unchanged since our foundation: to make America aware
of its fastest-growing and most promising segment of Americans —
Latinos.
Our multi-platform news media organization fosters engagement
with multiple audiences and, at its core, is driving a new American
narrative.
We will keep doing it through our new website, aldianews.com, a
weekly print product, and English-language events which include
political conversations, media panels, film screenings, and other
ambitious content initiatives.
The content provided by AL DÍA across all platforms actively impacts
the lives of those who come across it.
It’s been a long time since we started on 5th Street, in North
Philadelphia, with a single MAC SE.
Today, from Market Street, in the heart of the business district in
Philadelphia, we look foward — in confidence and excitement — at a
news media industry that will be dramatically transformed.
¡Buen provecho! Enjoy! Available July 14th: www.aldianews.com
