It is essential that students have basic knowledge
as well as the ability to take the next steps
themselves and continue their education
throughout their lives. Among other things,
students must be able to formulate a problem in
such a way that it can be solved by a machine
(Computional Thinking) and acquire the
knowledge necessary to understand Machine
Learning, Artificial Intelligence, etc., which
includes in particular the field of Statistics. It is
therefore important that students become familiar
with the new key technologies in computer
science, as well as their use in a scientific
environment, and that they learn the theoretical

  1. I would like to talk about Artificial Intelligence in teacher education with a focus on Generative AI. There is not yet a unified digitization strategy on AI in Switzerland. I will show how my university does it.

  5. Applications with artificial intelligence are getting faster and faster, better and better. A graphic shows in which areas human capabilities have already been surpassed. With the steep rise of ChatGPT, artificial intelligence suddenly became available to the masses. Especially in skills like reading comprehension, speech recognition and image recognition, the technology is getting better and better. AI strategies should consider which offer the most credible cases for investment. Partner with stakeholders to develop and socialize the policy. Identify that the policy is a work in progress. Provide examples of the policy in stakeholder specific language.
