Air Castle
1.
2. My Air Castle
Juan F. Salazar
My life’s tomorrow beckons me
From distant mountains, high and
low;
My future seems a boundless sea,
Where moving passions come and
3. Deep in my heart ambitions dwells
He cheers me up the highland,
And guides me through the hills
and dells
Wherein I pass the busy day.
4. I cannot write with Shakespeare’s
pen,
But I can love with Shakespeare’s
heart;
I love his skill his craft of men,
His mastery of poet’s art.I do not care for fame, has he,
Enthroned, was like unto a god:
The depths he reached are dark
to me.
But I will grope the ways he tried.
5. I wear achievement’s coronet,
For best are they who see things
done!
And all my cares I soon forget
When I have wrought my work
alone. If I be met by adverse fate,
And all my dreams be but in vain;
Then, must I work the harder yet
With high resolve to try again.

8.
9. Himself is the only character
of the poetry. He is
represented at the poem as a
writer who has a desire to
become better and better at
his craft.
10.
11. The poem tells about the author’s
dream to become a better writer in
the future. His ambition helps him
to survive his daily struggles and it
motivates and inspires him in his
life. He doesn’t dream to be good as
Shakespeare, but he knows how to
love his craft just like him.
12. He also admire Shakespeare’s
works, skill and mastery on poetry.
He doesn’t dream to be popular to
all the people just like him. Also he
believe he can’t achieve what
Shakespeare achieved in his life.
Although he can’t be like
Shakespeare, but he will achieve his
own dream just like what
Shakespeare did.
13. Lastly, he is proud of himself and
believe that he is the best in his own
craft. It’s because he is trying the
best he can do to achieve his dream.
14.
15. Everyone of us had these dreams
that maybe hard to find and achieve.
But, we should work and pursue our
dreams no matter what happened
and no matter how hard it is, even
hindrances and obstacles are in us.
Dreams give us the reason to live
and achieving it can give a
fulfillment in life.
