Business alignment - Over time, the proliferation of devices has created unnecessary complexity. Control Center delivers centralized visibility and granular control of network resources. One click can equal a thousand actions when you manage your network. Control Center can even manage beyond Extreme Networks switching, routing, and wireless hardware to deliver standards-based control of other vendors’ network equipment.
Pairing assets with intelligent sensors to gather, analyze, and communicate data is driving enormous new efficiencies in manufacturing and business operations. Just as in the consumer markets, where the first generation of personal fitness monitors and smart home devices leverage data sets to influence and shape events in the physical world, so too are operational efficiencies borne by the Internet of Things (IoT) generating high returns in manufacturing.
According to McKinsey, “business-to-business applications will account for nearly 70 percent of the value … from IoT in the next ten years.” The firm estimates that of the nearly $11 trillion a year in economic value generated globally, ‘nearly $5 trillion [will] be generated almost exclusively in B2B settings, including factories… such as those in manufacturing, agriculture, and even healthcare environments; work sites across mining, oil and gas, and construction; and, finally, offices.’
More informed decision-making and optimized operations across the extended supply chain are only some of the benefits. Wireless sensors, whether measuring hydrogen levels in the soil or temperature variables on the production line, are eliminating blind spots in traditional manufacturing processes and delivering a constant flow of data that optimize workflows. And while manufacturers have leveraged data in discrete applications for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) systems for years, the growth of sensors, real-time dashboards, cloud-applications, and mobile technologies are delivering new degrees of actionable intelligence to the precise location at the precise time it can be optimally leveraged.
Yet this goal of seamlessly moving data across plant and business functions, and applying analytical tools to enable new insights, requires a new degree of visibility into the performance of manufacturing applications, networks, and systems. Traditionally monitoring tools used in factory environments are often isolated, closed, proprietary, and offer only a keyhole view of IT system performance.

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!
Why Psychological Safety Matters for Software Teams - ACE 2024 - Ben Linders.pdfBen Linders
Psychological safety in teams is important; team members must feel safe and able to communicate and collaborate effectively to deliver value. It’s also necessary to build long-lasting teams since things will happen and relationships will be strained.
But, how safe is a team? How can we determine if there are any factors that make the team unsafe or have an impact on the team’s culture?
In this mini-workshop, we’ll play games for psychological safety and team culture utilizing a deck of coaching cards, The Psychological Safety Cards. We will learn how to use gamification to gain a better understanding of what’s going on in teams. Individuals share what they have learned from working in teams, what has impacted the team’s safety and culture, and what has led to positive change.
Different game formats will be played in groups in parallel. Examples are an ice-breaker to get people talking about psychological safety, a constellation where people take positions about aspects of psychological safety in their team or organization, and collaborative card games where people work together to create an environment that fosters psychological safety.

Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.

20. What’s new in 2.7
• Manage 50 devices per site
• Client Match
• More schedule options for Wi-Fi and PoE
• Watchlist Client
• Jumbo Frame support
• MFA account recovery
• Additional enhancements
21. Grow your network more easily
Aruba Instant On app can now manage up to 50 Aruba Instant On switches and APs
Ideal for SMB customers
• Hospitality - Care and nursing homes,
mid-size hotels
• Retail - Larger retail chain sites such as
hardware stores
• Education/other - Local private schools,
gyms
Ideal for challenging environments
• Concrete and steel structures that require
additionalAPs for coverage
• Multi-floor buildings that require more
than 25 access points
Instant On app requires no additional
license or hardware purchase
For growing and larger SMB networks that want to
manage up to 50 Aruba Instant On switches and APs.
22. Optimize wireless roaming – no more sticky clients
Client Match is enabled by default starting with 2.7.0
What Client Match does
Client Match continuously monitors the health of all
clients connected to each AP and optimizes wireless
client performance by managing load balancing, band
steering/band balancing, and sticky clients.
Match to
another AP
Use cases Client Match helps address
• Clients connected with weak signals.
• Clients connected to an oversubscribed access point.
• “Sticky clients” that remain connected to a single AP
even when roaming to an area with APs that offer
better connectivity.
Optimized roaming performance now with support
of IEEE 802.11k, 802.11r, 802.11v
23. More network scheduling options for Wi-Fi and PoE
Customize with new Variable schedule
Enhanced Network Schedule setting for
wireless network and PoE provides more
flexibility:
• Existing Fixed option - "Active between"
and "All day".
• Newly added Variable option - schedule
for each day during the week.
Use cases
• Hotel or Airbnb can provide wireless
connectivity per guest stay time (e.g.,
check in 3pm Friday, check out 11am
Sunday).
• Control or turn off PoE power on
weekend or during off hours for power
savings.
24. Network schedule workflow example
Wireless
Aruba Instant On app guides you through steps to quickly set Wi-Fi access
hours. Configure PoE to turn off and save power during off hours.
25. Get alerts when critical infrastructure go offline
Watchlist Client included in 2.7 release
Watchlist Client allows you to keep a close eye on the
status of critical infrastructure devices such as
servers, storage, network devices and clients.
• For wired and wireless client, including servers and
storage.
• An alert will be generated when the watched client
is offline.
• Add up to 128 clients to the watchlist.
No need to set up a separate monitoring software.
Users can now add critical clients the to watchlist.
29. What Jumbo Frames support does
• Allows a larger Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) on clients that will
send/receive jumbo frames, usually by setting the MTU to 9000.
Benefit
• Improve data transmission efficiency by reducing the number of
frames and overheads for switches to process.
Use case
• For larger file transfer (e.g., media files) from or to local storage.
Note
• This action is per-switch (not per-site).
• Reboot is required for jumbo frames configuration changes.
• Jumbo frame not supported on Aruba Instant On APs.
Jumbo Frame support
Switching Jumbo frame Support
30. How it works
Cloud-managed stacking takes decision and shares jumbo frames setting among members.
• Jumbo frames setting applies to all stack members.
• Newly added stack member will adopt the stack’s jumbo frames setting.
• Switch will keep stack jumbo frames setting when unstacking.
Jumbo Frame support for cloud-managed stacking
Stack shares Jumbo Frame setting among switches in stack
31. Multi-factor Authentication feature now prompts for
recovery email address so you don’t get locked out.
How it works
• Recovery email will be asked for while enabling MFA.
• The recovery email will be used to send an OTP to allow the user
to be able to login in case he lost his OTP device.
What it avoids
Currently, if a user, who has MFA enabled, lost his OTP device and
forgot recovery code, the use cannot recover the account.
Note - For the current users who have not configured a recovery
email, the existing account email will be used.
Improved MFA account recovery
Add recovery email so you don’t lose access
