2. MEANING OF AIM:-
• By aim we mean the guidelines, directions and guidance that
shows us the righteous path to reach the goal or destination.
• It the means and not the end which enable us to reach the goal.
• Aim stand for approach of discovering and reaching the goal.
• Aim directs our efforts to the end and keep the person on right
track.
• Aim avoids wastage

3. DEFINITIONS OF AIMS OF EDUCATION
• 1) John Dewey:- “An aim is a foreseen end that gives direction
to an activity or motivates behaviour”.
• 2) Encyclopedia of modern education:- “Education is purposeful
and ethical activity. Hence, it is unthinkable, without aims”

4. IMPORTANCE OF THE AIMS OF EDUCATION
