Lydia is excited for her many planned activities throughout the year which include skiing in January, Carnival in February, a tennis tournament in March, Easter in April, a trip to London in May, finishing school in June, a vacation in the Caribbean in July, a trip to Paris in August, going to the zoo in September, celebrating her 11th birthday in October, picking chestnuts in November, and awaiting Santa's arrival in December.

2. January
In January Lydia, Sara and her
parents are going to go skiing to a
mountain, she loves skiing!!
But Sara is afraid of polar bears,
so she is going to stay at home with
her grandparents.
She also loves tennis, tennis is her
passion.
Lydia is 10 years old.

3. February
Tomorrow, the 25th, Carnival is
going to start!!!
Lydia is going to dress up as a
Pink Lady and Sara is going to
dress up as a fairy.
Tomorrow they are going to take
part in “Galiana’s Descent”.
She is so happy because on days
27, 28 and 29 there is no class.

4. March
Carnival has finished on the 1st
of March.
And Lydia has a tennis
tournament the 6th of March.
She is very nervous because the
girls that Lydia is going to play
with are very good at tennis,
but she is very good too, so she
can win.

5. April The 7th of April is Easter.
She loves Easter because she
is going to visit her
grandparents, so she is very
happy.
She is going to participate in a
parade. Her aunt is going to
give her a dress. And her
grandfather is going to give
her a chocolate egg.

6. May
Her uncles, her cousins, her sister
and herself are going to travel to
London as a surprise. They are
going to get on the “London Eye”.
They are also going to visit “The
Big Ben” and a lot of museums and
go shopping to “Harrods”.
They are going to stay there for 5
days in a great hotel.
They are going to have a great
time!!!

7. June Lydia is going to finish school
tomorrow, the 21st of June. She
is so happy!!!
She is impatient because
tomorrow the whole class is
going to go to McDonald’s after
school and then her best friend
Mary has invited her to the
cinema to watch a great film
called “Ballerina”.

8. July Lidia´s parents are going to
give her a surprise telling her
that they are going to travel
to the Caribbean for a week
with all her family including
her cousins and her little
sister Sara.Their hotel’s name
is going to be ‘Pirates of the
Caribbean Hotel’. She’s going
to have a great time!!!

9. August As an early birthday present her
parents decided that they are
going to go to Paris. Her parents
think that Lydia and Sara are
going to enjoy the bedroom and
the living room of the hotel. They
are going to stay there for 5 days,
they are going to spend 3 days in
Disneyland Paris.They are going to
spend the other 2 visiting the
“Eiffel Tower” and all Paris.

10. September
The 3rd of September, Lydia, Sara and her
parents are going to go to the zoo. She is
happy on one hand, but on the other hand
she is sad because on the 10th she will
start school.
Her favourite animals are the giraffe and
the panda bear.
Giraffes have got a yellow body with brown
spots. They live in Africa. They move
walking from one place to another and they
feed mainly on acacia leaves. They can
reach a height of 5’8 m. They usually live in
savannas, grasslands and forests.

11. October Tomorrow is going to be Lydia's
birthday.The 16th of October.
To celebrate her birthday, she is
going to invite some friends to
her house. They are going to
sleep in her house and before this
they are going to go to the
cinema.
She is turning 11 years old
tomorrow.

12. November
In November Lydia and Sara are
going to go to pick up chestnuts
in a forest near their
grandparents´ house.
Lydia and her family love eating
chestnuts, but Sara doesn’t like
them.
After picking chestnuts
everyone is going to go to their
grandparent’s house to eat
chestnuts and to be together as a
family.

13. December
Next week Santa Claus is going to
arrive to Sara and Lydia’s house. Or
so they hope!!!
Sara wants a book, a pencil case and
a beautiful doll and Lydia wants
another book, a new tennis racket
and a board game.
They also want to see Santa Claus
and take a photo with him.
They are so excited!!!
