2. According to the published data, in the future 20 years Chinese airlines are supposed to purchase altogether
4500 new aircrafts, which leads to 2500 to 3000 pilots vacancies every year in a quite long period.
Besides the shortage of flight personnel, human factor is another problem besets airlines. How to cultivate a
qualified pilot both in technical and mental aspects becomes an issue which is attracting all airlines.
Especially in these two years, when the new generation aircrafts avoid most safety risks on the technical
level, pilots become the core factor to ensure aviation security.
Also, according to the latest report China will need 10,000 helicopters till 2020, market value will reach 1
billion US dollars. There is a great potentiality in the coming 5 to 10 years on the vast land, and helicopter
pilot training should be taken into consideration.
With that in mind, on April 7th-8th of 2016, The 6th China Aviation Training & Education Summit (CATES)
2016 is going to be held at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, China. Following the successful CATES
2015, this time we will cater to the real needs of China aviation market and explore more opportunities for
both airlines as well as related enterprises.
