make the audience feel they are watching something believable and realistic.
I will be doing an advert for an already established company called NSPCC as their aims are they same as mine. Which is putting the kids first.
Its aim then was to protect children from cruelty, support vulnerable families, campaign for changes to the law and raise awareness about abuse.
SEXUAL ABUSE CAMPAIGN Last year 8,637 called Child line to talk about sexual abuse.
The Name Of The Programme is Called The NSPCC Edu Care child protection awareness programme .
It contains facts about child sexual abuse and those who may pose a sexual threat to children.
It also includes what constitutes sexual abuse, examine why sexual abuse occurs, who abuses, and some of the methods abusers typically adopt.
Bike ride was done to raise money for kids in need. Which involved members of the public.
They aim to raise funds, support children and families and change public attitudes.
The aim of my advert will be to stop violent behaviour occurring in gamers as this leaves them with the thought that can do in real life what they do in theses violent video games. I will also like to educate parents as in a survey that I did it said that most kids gets there games either from their parents or a family friend. Lastly I would like to talk about the effect that these games have on the children that are playing these video games.
My target audience will be kids. This will be my primary audience as this is the people that I am thinking about first. However, in order for me to get to the children I have to go through the parents as due to me research parents are the most likely ones to buy their kids these violent video games. This is why I am making the parents my secondary audience. Hopefully the parents would be able to see the damage they are doing to their kids.
The age group that I will be going for are 10-16 year olds.
For my primary and secondary research I had done a survey, focus group and lastly used the internet to find more about how violent video gets to the hands of children. I had collected some positive stats as my focus group said this should be brought into the public eye as they are exposed to the violent world too early and they are also aware that they are playing a video game that is not of their age group. I then went onto the internet to see what I could find out about the effects that video games could cause. As the following I found out that it causes a false sense of reality to these kids.
The key massage is that Violent video games at a young age is not best option to make as a parent. Also the effects of their kids playing theses games which is;
Anger and Aggression
Lack of focus
Decreased attention span
Decrease in grades.
I would like to bring up is the fact that kids who play violent video games are more likely to become violent. Also I would also like to educate parents in the games that their kids are playing.
Advantages of a Realist Narrative is that it is easy to make without much money being spent. However a disadvantage is that adverts like this wouldn’t stick in the mind of their customers as it is easily forgettable.
This would count as a realist narrative, because it appears to be set in real-life. The product suggests that this is a normal day-to-day occurrence in the Redknapp household. A realist narrative advert is an advert with a story, appearing to be both believable and realistic.
Shock advertising or Shockvertising is a type of advertising that "deliberately, rather than inadvertently, startles and offends its audience by violating norms for social values and personal ideals.
This advert brings to life the damage smoking does to your body. When you smoke, toxins attack every part of you, causing you to slowly rot inside. If you could see the rot, you’d stop.
This advertisement contains special effects during the scene where the male character is smoking the cigarette. This is when guts and blood appears in replacement of the tobacco that is meant to be normally smoked. This has an impact on the audience as it shows the company is professional as they are able to use quality special effects which may make the audience go for this service. Also it shows that the advert is modern and couls connote to the audience that this is new service.
In order for me to reach all my target audience I will need to tune in at the right period of time and air on the right channel. I have decided to use Channel4, BBC1 and channel5 because I feel this is where bought my primary and secondary audience may tune in and watch together.
In order for me not to breach legal constraints I have looked up the rules that are stated by 2 of the biggest advert administrators. For example when dealing with a shock advert I cant use gruesome pictures just to get population. However with a justified reason i can go ahead using shock tactics to show my audience that violent video games are not for kids underage.
