• Complete a college-ready core including four years each of English,
mathematics and lab-based science.
• Participate in a sequence of four AC courses requiring the successful use
of college- and career-readiness standards to complete authentic, project-
based assignments.
• Commit to pursuing postsecondary study or advanced training in a
career field.
• Graduate from high school meeting readiness standards in mathematics
and literacy.

4. Academy Advantages
PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
Students engage in project-based learning throughout the curriculum and record all research, drafts, sketches,
data, trials, etc. in engineering notebooks.
INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS
Students will tour advanced manufacturing facilities and collaborate with working technicians and engineers.
Students will present their final products/reports to professional engineers in industry. Employment
opportunities are expected with many of our industry partners.
POST-SECONDARY CONNECTIONS
Students will receive college credits and transcripts through our dual-enrollment program with Penn College.
Articulated credits may be earned through additional colleges and universities.
INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS
Students will have the opportunity to earn industry certifications such as OSHA 10-hour Training, Electronics
Technician (SET), and IPC J-STD 001 soldering.
BEYOND S.T.E.M.
Students will incorporate their knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to work on
real-world projects. In addition, they will strengthen literacy skills through the development of engineering
journals and reports, user manuals, and other related documents.
