THE CO-OP ADVANTAGE
With Drexel Engineering co-op, gain up to 18 months of hands-on
work experience before you graduate. Build your resume and your
career. Switch gears by alternating co-op with classes every few terms,
guided through our integrated co-op process by the Steinbright Career
Development Center. On top of all that, earn a salary — on average,
engineering students earn over $18,000 per six-month co-op.

2. Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering
Prepares graduates for work in analysis, design,
construction, and operation of residential, commercial,
institutional, and industrial buildings
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
Equips students with the broad technical knowledge and
teamwork skills required for the conversion of raw materials
into valuable products
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Instills the principles of structural, transportation,
environmental, geotechnical, water resources, and public
facilities engineering as well as construction management
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
Focuses on digital circuit design, computer hardware
and organization, programming and computer software,
algorithms, and networks
Bachelor of Science in Construction Management
Prepares students for all phases of operation and
management of a construction organization, including cost
estimating, project scheduling, and planning
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Emphasizes computer-aided design and hands-
on laboratory experience in three different tracks:
telecommunications/digital signal processing, electronics,
and electrical engineering
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Interdisciplinary)
Allows students to broaden their interests in
interdisciplinary studies or to pursue pre-law or pre-med
programs of study
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology
Prepares students who plan to pursue careers in a variety
of design, production, and service positions, providing
an integrated educational experience directed towards
developing the ability to apply fundamental knowledge to
the solution of practical problems
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering
Focuses on protecting human, animal, and plant
populations from the effects of adverse environmental
factors, including toxic chemicals and wastes, pathogenic
bacteria, and global warming
FIRST YEAR DESIGN
From their first day, students undertake a hands-on
exploration sequence in engineering design. Capstone
projects have included everything from the development
of robotic hands and light therapy devices to rainwater
catchment systems for local farms. Working with a team
of fellow students and an instructor, students learn
first-hand the excitement and innovation inherent in the
engineering design process, preparing them for their first
co-op and emergence into their selected field of study.
THE LOCKHEED MARTIN ENGINEERING
LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
At Drexel Engineering, students can go beyond technical
studies to forge a path to engineering leadership and
entrepreneurship. Beginning during students’ first year,
this program operates in partnership with Lockheed
Martin to actively engage engineering students in
developing leadership skills. The program enhances
engineering curriculum with the concepts of management,
civic engagement, communication and other professional
skills to bridge the gap between engineering practice and
the business environment.
Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering
Explores possibilities for extending the supply of materials,
improving existing materials, and developing new, superior
and sustainable materials and processes
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
and Mechanics
Prepares students to use the principles of energy, materials
and mechanics to design and manufacture machines and
devices of all types and create the processes and systems
that drive technology and industry
