Why is your topic important?

Our topic is important because of these two reasons. Firstly, It is required course of
Ewha’s freshman so every freshman of our school will agree with limitation of ‘Share
Leadership’ lecture. Secondly, It’s not major course and it’s only 2 credits, but it requires
too many things to students. They have to do not only actual activity but also 2 times
of tests. Also, almost every students don’t understand purpose of class, so it can’t bring
out students’ spontaneous participation.

3.

What do you hope the audience will learn?

Every students enroll in this class, so we should know the leadership lecture’s real
meaning and find solutions to develop this lecture.

C.

a. topic background+importance (Jeon Jeong Ah)

- Introduction of Share Leadership Lecture & Student’s reaction.
- Every freshman of Ewha should take this class but most students don’t understand the
goal of this lecture and hate this. It needs some solution.

b. cause of trend+problem (Cho Hyun Ryung)
- Too many students and too little professor's number.
-Too little instructors for students.
- There is no guideline for team projects.
- There is no support for student’s team project activity; most activities need money

c. Effects of trend/problem (Kim Ho Su)
Most students waste their time and efforts, although they fail to achieve actual
activities’ authentic goal.

For example, most students make facebook pages, posters,
and plan for campaigns that have no relationship with their project’s real meaning. In
addition, most of those activities lose their real meaning and at the end, they just focus
on ‘doing’. Also most students do this with little understanding of subjects and interest.
Not knowing leadership’s real meaning, students participate in actual activity obligatorily.
So, many students get stressed and have antipathy to this lecture.

d.Solutions/predictions for future (Kim Yu Jin)
-Reduce students
-Supply appropriate scaffolding for the actual activity
-Supply monetary support for the actual activity
