The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. pronoun are known as adjective of quality.

7. Adjective of quantity
How much?
• The words which describe the quality ( approximate
quantity) of nouns or pronouns are known as adjective of
quantity.
• For example:
• Some , little , all , whole , double , few ,half , any , etc.
• I don’t have much time .
• I have little faith in God.
• He has taken half cup of milk.
8. Adjective of number
How many?
• Word which expresses the exact number of nouns or pronouns
and their position or place in certain order, is called adjective
of number.
• For example:
• One or first two or second, three or third so on…….each , no , several, all, some etc.
• A week has seven days.
• There are nine persons in a group.
• Every poor needs job.
• There are no stories in this book.
9. Difference b/w adjective of quantity and adjective
of number
• The difference between adjective of number and
adjectives of quantity is that indefinite numeral adjectives
(some , few , many , etc.) are used with countable nouns
whereas adjectives of quantity (some , few ,many, etc.) are
used with uncountable nouns
