ADDING REFERENCES TO
MY MUSIC VIDEO
I decided to use some concepts from Kimi
no Nawa such as communicating through
papers
In the first part of the story, Mitsuha is shown as someone who
was never good at drawing. Resulting to a really shocked
expression when she finds her book with landscape sketches.
This was the beginning of their ‘exchange’.
Similarly, to portray this scene in my music video, I have to take
a shot of my model drawing and her illustration. Then a ‘force’
which enables the book to flip and find a better drawing. The
scene will also be perceived at the beginning of my music video
to indicate the first exchange.
A DIFFERENT ATTITUDE
Here you can already spot the difference. Her hairstyle is different from the usual.
Mitsuha religiously styles her hair with two braids at each side which she later ties into
a bun. The first picture is just her with a ponytail. Furthermore, her body language is
contrasting as well. In the first picture shows confidence or toughness; while on the
right picture, she holds her hand in a very fragile and feminine way. Denotes that Taki
or the boy is currently inhabiting Mitsuha’s body in the first picture.
FACIAL EXPRESSIONS & DRESS CODES
• Will play a critical role in my music video. Dark clothing will
refer to original owner of the body. On the other hand,
female lead wearing pink clothing will signify that the male
lead has taken over the body. Thus, there will also be some
scenes which the girl is really happy and emotional to
slightly distinguish the difference.
• Childish or gullible
behaviour
• Expressionless
AND THE FAMOUS ‘BELL’ SCENE
• In which they were at the same place and could hear each other’s
voices but could not see one another
Suspender
• To exhibit the ‘Bell Scene’ in my music video, there should be objects to indicate that the other person is on the other side.
In Kimi no Nawa, the sunray, position and hands of characters define that they are in a similar area but could not meet.
Just like parallel lines. Since a bright sunlight come very rarely, I decided to use a bridge near Hollywood Bowl instead. It
has a suspender with two slanted angles of discrete direction. I will place the models on these two slanted angles, so the
audience could easily identify that they are standing in different areas on the bridge. Additionally, their legs walking to the
intersection, on the same pace and place could suggest that they ‘meet’. However, on the next scene, I will show the
female lead and the other end of the bridge in which the male lead should be there. Although, he could not be seen.
Lastly, the female lead looking back and walking away confirms that there is really no person there.

  • 2. I decided to use some concepts from Kimi no Nawa such as communicating through papers In the first part of the story, Mitsuha is shown as someone who was never good at drawing. Resulting to a really shocked expression when she finds her book with landscape sketches. This was the beginning of their ‘exchange’.
  • 3. Similarly, to portray this scene in my music video, I have to take a shot of my model drawing and her illustration. Then a ‘force’ which enables the book to flip and find a better drawing. The scene will also be perceived at the beginning of my music video to indicate the first exchange.
  • 4. A DIFFERENT ATTITUDE Here you can already spot the difference. Her hairstyle is different from the usual. Mitsuha religiously styles her hair with two braids at each side which she later ties into a bun. The first picture is just her with a ponytail. Furthermore, her body language is contrasting as well. In the first picture shows confidence or toughness; while on the right picture, she holds her hand in a very fragile and feminine way. Denotes that Taki or the boy is currently inhabiting Mitsuha’s body in the first picture.
  • 5. FACIAL EXPRESSIONS & DRESS CODES • Will play a critical role in my music video. Dark clothing will refer to original owner of the body. On the other hand, female lead wearing pink clothing will signify that the male lead has taken over the body. Thus, there will also be some scenes which the girl is really happy and emotional to slightly distinguish the difference. • Childish or gullible behaviour • Expressionless
  • 6. AND THE FAMOUS ‘BELL’ SCENE • In which they were at the same place and could hear each other’s voices but could not see one another
  • 7. Suspender • To exhibit the ‘Bell Scene’ in my music video, there should be objects to indicate that the other person is on the other side. In Kimi no Nawa, the sunray, position and hands of characters define that they are in a similar area but could not meet. Just like parallel lines. Since a bright sunlight come very rarely, I decided to use a bridge near Hollywood Bowl instead. It has a suspender with two slanted angles of discrete direction. I will place the models on these two slanted angles, so the audience could easily identify that they are standing in different areas on the bridge. Additionally, their legs walking to the intersection, on the same pace and place could suggest that they ‘meet’. However, on the next scene, I will show the female lead and the other end of the bridge in which the male lead should be there. Although, he could not be seen. Lastly, the female lead looking back and walking away confirms that there is really no person there.
