a.Identify Trigger’s roles.
b.Manage and customize animation within the slide
using Triggers.
c. Use Trigger in educational scenarios.

3. Prerequisites
Students with prerequisites skills:
a.Manipulating Windows: working with files and folders.
b.Typing and formatting text (style, lists, drawing
tools…).
c. Inserting pictures.
d.Creating and working with tables.
e.Lesson1 & 2 in PowerPoint that allows students to
create a presentation with a specific design, including
multimedia, tables, pictures, shapes, action buttons,
word arts and animations.

4. Materials
a. LCD projectors.
b. Instructor computer.
c. Students’ computers.
d. Microsoft Office PowerPoint installed on all computers.
5. Introduction (5 minutes)
Remind students of different types of animations in
Microsoft PowerPoint.
6. Activity 1 (15 minutes)
Show a Microsoft PowerPoint file that contains two slides.
- Discuss to compare between these two slides.
- Introducing the scenario in presentation: “If this, then
that.”
- Introduce the concepts of Trigger.
- Formulate Trigger’s role.

7. Activity 2 (10 minutes)
1.Demonstrate how to create Triggers through an
example: use Trigger to create a tag name of a
shape that will appear when we click on it.
8. Activity 3 (15 minutes)
Distribute a worksheet to students that
summarize the task that they must to do and aim
to develop an example of using Trigger.
1.Follow students by developing this task.

9. Activity 4 (15 minutes)
Ask this question: propose different scenarios of
using Trigger in lessons?
1.Brainstorming activity: collect answers and write
them in whiteboard, discuss to group similar
answers or scenarios in order to eliminate some
of them.
10. Assessment (15 minutes)
1.Divide class into 5 groups, three students in each.
2.Select five scenarios from activity 4 and distribute them
to groups.

1.Each group presents his work using the
instructor’s computer that is connected to the LCD
projector.
2.Discuss each group work with the class.
3.Evaluate groups work and give them the grade.
