AHTC-24 is an aluminum/magnesium mixed metal oxide that is thermally treated. It has a molecular structure with a high affinity for anions in aqueous solutions, preferring divalent over monovalent anions. AHTC-24 can be used as a catalyst substrate, specialty adsorbent, and for rheology control applications.

Activated hydrotalcite
1. Application
Activated hydrotalcite is a unique
thermally treated aluminum/magnesium
mixed metal oxide. Thermal treatment
produces a molecular structure having
a high affinity for anions in aqueous
solutions. Divalent anions are highly
preferred over monovalent anions.
Applications include catalyst
substrates, specialty adsorbents and
rheology control.
