The research gathered data from 104 Brazilian game development companies during the first 3 months of 2012, with the goal of providing insights into the country's game development industry. It found that the companies had over R$20 million in combined revenue and over 500 combined employees. Most companies had annual incomes under R$1.5 million, teams of less than 20 people, and had been in business for 5-10 years. The largest companies by revenue were HIVE, TecToy, and Jynx.
